I don't think it affects it. I still say Jake gets 6+ years right around 8 mil. And I expect it to be done by the time the season starts. It's what everyone one (player, team, fans) want, so I have no worries it will get done.

Was hoping to see Jake take a good price since Coots gave us a good deal.

Two reasons why. He's restricted and he hasn't really proven himself enough to earn the new contract yet. So, there's little risk in waiting on that one.

I agree Mav its time for B Schenn to prove his worth. He has gone up in points every year but needs to get to at least 60 this year. If he could ever get that one timer down from the slot on the PP like Hartsy did he would have a lot more points.
