They brought three good hitters in who are not producing. Seger semien Garver Lowe Miller ibanez Garcia and Heim should be producing and are not for the most part.

he also brought in Kole and Miller and did nothing to improve the bull pen. firing the hitting coach or even the manager isn't going to accomplish anything. you fire them and bring in 2 new guys who do you think the new manager is going to troop out there to improve the hitting?

We scored runs in ST. But then, guys like Smith, Thompson, Wendzel and Crim were producing a big portion of those runs. Once they quit playing very much we didn't score as many, even in ST. Maybe when those guys are ready to come up, our offense will perk up again.

Sounds like a good idea. I wouldn't even mind pairing him with another prospect and trading them for a better prospect. Sort of like they tried to do, and failed miserably, in the Gibson trade.

But there is no consistency and too many games where they struggle to produce. Someone has to be held accountable for that, and historically that is members of the coaching staff.

Absolutely!!! Tweeking film has fixed many problems. Little adjustments can be picked up and applied.

Yeah, it is the consistency that is missing. Semien and Seager will improve, but what if Lowe and another guy or two declines.

I just don't think they have the pieces to consistently score runs on this team. They can do it in spurts. I think it gets better overall, but not by a very big margin until we have more talent on the 26 man roster.

all true. don't know why the hitting instructor is always the first to go but it seems the historically necessary path. i expect that Semien and Seager and Garver will turn it around no matter who the hitting instructor is. Semien for one last year had similar problems in April hitting .211 with only 5 HRS and then turned it on hitting 40 HRs the rest of the year.
Garver hit .182 in April last year and hit around .280 the rest of the year

It is obvious we need better players in the OF. It surely hurt not having Jung start out.
