The White Sox announced today that first baseman/outfielder Andrew Vaughn has been diagnosed with a hip pointer (a bruised pelvis bone on his right side) and is expected to return to game action in one to two weeks.

Strange that we have to learn this from a non-local source.

7th overall pick in '17. he may not be a bad addition to the outfield. decent bat and supposedly a very good outfielder at all 3 positions. maybe vaughn will be out longer than expected and engal seems to be a constant health risk. hell ... he's only 25.

He’d be with the Phillies still if he were worth a damn IMO. My problem is I let myself have expectations.

i'm thinking it's a minor move and he may not even make the team, but i get your point. i expected at least one big move this year and it hasn't happened. still i'm hoping it's eloy, robert and vaughn as the regs in the outfield and i'm not unhappy with that at all.

Greetings from Key West, where the beers and babes lovingly coexist in large numbers. Is this the "official" pizza sponsor for the Sox? Never heard of them. If so, I'd suggest Rosati's as the replacement, even if it's for sentimental reasons. They have a few shops in Vegas and one just a 15 minute drive from Casa de LSD. Yes, they're a chain whereas I was always a fan of mom-n-pop joints. But the latter could never be a pro sports sponsor. And tbh, Rosati's makes a pretty authentic thin crust pizza.

This is classic TLR playing mind games with the press and the public. When La Russa says something like this - it puts the spotlight on him - and takes the pressure off the players. Mission accomplished!

The outrage certainly isn't because Hahn said the "money will be there" when it was needed - or the Sox started the lockout with three needs - RF - 2nd Base and backup catcher and are still looking for a backup catcher and a RF.

The trade with the Phillies was the goodbye Miker Adolpho announcement - as he has no options left.
