Your retarted
Pettis is a bit of a reach for the Niners IMO. Great PR and a smooth receiver, but it seems awfully early to have selected him.
I think you have something there rich. Makes a lot of sense. His opinion matters, that's for sure.I'm sure Hiestand had a say in this. Right?
Another very experienced selection from Pace. Miller is not big as receivers go and not very fast, at least in a straight heat. But he plays fast, runs disciplined routes, possesses some big ol' mitts, fights for the ball. Sounds like a slot receiver in Nagy's system.
Sense the theme this year? Pace may have grown weary of 'upside' and 'potential'. It's safe to say he wanted experience and production. I wonder if Nagy and his coaching staff, including Fangio, had any input. My guess is yes.3 straight 1,400+ yard seasons isn't a joke.
Good call. If Miller does indeed pan out, then I'm very comfortable with having let Meredith go. I may not have wanted a receiver in any round earlier than the 4th, but my take is always once he's a Bear, then I immediately become his biggest fan. He'll have to prove otherwise.I didn't want a WR in the 2nd. I wanted Meridith and to keep the pick for OLB. But I did predict it.
I’m the same way. I’d be the same way if we took Nelson.Good call. If Miller does indeed pan out, then I'm very comfortable with having let Meredith go. The game is largely won up front on both sides of the ball. O-line is hugely important, no one will dispute that. A HOF guard can be a huge piece to an O-line as a unit. A HOF guard can make an average line, a very good line. Just like a HOF LB can do that to a LB corp. However, Brian Urlacher, if he's the only player with talent on the defensive side. Is not going to make a team great. Anymore than a guard will without any talent around him.
A HOF LT won't make a team great either. OT's go early every year. Same with DT's and DE's. Calvin Johnson never won a single playoff game. This can go on and on.
You mean Urlacher all by himself won't make a defense great? THANK YOU CAPTAIN OBVIOUS.
That was precisely my point. It's very, very obvious. So, thanks for confirming it.
