This is one of the more stacked 2nd rounds in recent memory. Tons of first-round talent still available.


There is no reason that the Bears shouldn't walk away with at least 2, day-one, impact starters.

The talking heads don’t know everything that goes on behind the scenes at the draft. I also think trading back into the first would’ve been a terrible idea. We’re already lacking in the draft pick department and to trade back into the first would deplete our resources too thin. There will still be good players in the second.

This is not our grandfather's NFL any longer. Guards are just as important as tackles these days. And they are just as talented coming out of college to boot. Centers are also becoming a must-draft spot too.

He was projected to go in the first. Some glowing scouting reports about him and he also murdered the short shuttle. Which is proven as the biggest translator to success for combine drills from OL'men.

He was my top center, and the only reason I didn't have him as a definitive 2nd rounder is I thought the Bears were committing to Cody as their center. But obviously that's a no-go, so I'm thrilled with this pick. Daniels is a true gamer and I really feel Pace has had his best 1-2 picks since he's become our GM.
