Thanks for confirming you offered nothing.

Tell that to the guy who needed to actually hear that then. Not to the guy who had to explain the obvious.

This could not have made Kevin White happy. I'm wondering if the Bears plan on cutting him and eating his contract and cap space.

Nah. Nagy already claimed him as his "reclamation project". They'll simply decline his 5th year option and give him another chance to stay healthy through camp. Then (if he gets past that phase) he'll have one last go at it.

Oh, and why is there such a consensus about him being slow? He ran a 4.46 and a 4.52 at his pro day. That's not "fast" for a WR. However, it is NFL starting caliber. Plenty of good receivers in the 4.45-4.5 range. That coupled with his route running should be plenty fast.

Anthony Miller: Tests well at pro day

Am I seeing correctly that Miller is coming off a foot injury? So potentially our starting WR core is A Rob coming off an ACL, White (Insert injury here) and Miller coming off a foot injury.

What could POSSIBLY go wrong?

I think a couple other guys need to be worried, the Josh Bellamy's on the team.

NFL instituted a new crutch rule. Players are now allowed to use them while playing.

Damn, have to be on the road today, so I'm recording the draft and will watch it tomorrow. I'll probably just fast forward to whenever the Bears select. And of course look forward to reading the comments on this thread and others when I'm back. Go Bears!!!

SHIT!!!!!!!!! The Pack just chose who I thought was the best CB left in the draft. They're killing it.

I was hoping for J-jax with our 2nd pick.......But didn`t happen. I think adding him our defense would have really taken off............
The pack must really be worried abiut the North's passing offenses...........Alexander and Jackson?

great picks in my opinion.

Don’t forget they snagged up king first overall last year.

Looks like our 4th pick is that pass rusher we were wanting. Joel Iyiegbuniwe. Don’t know much about him, but projects to be a backup/special teamer.

Miller did not miss a game in 3 years of playing at Memphis. Anthony Miller College Stats | College Football at Sports-Reference.com

So... I don't really know where you're coming from with that being a concern. He skipped the Senior Bowl and Combine drills, citing a mysterious "foot injury". However, he played approximately 13 out of 13 games with 1,400+ yards and just so happened to be fine to go through the Memphis pro day.

There's really zero reason to think this is a guy with an injury history.

You also left Gabriel off the list of starting/key role WR's.

Yeah, sounds about right. I suppose Vic really likes Lynch that much, eh?

We needed depth at the OLB and DT positions. Our 4th and 5th round picks seem like conscientious ones.

I dont know if you intend to come off like a dick with your posts, but you have a habit of doing so regardless. I heard he had a foot injury. That's about tbe bulk of what I said. If its no biggie, its no fuckin biggie, but dont pretend like players who have a history of good health dont suddenly get hit with injuries. A simple, "It doesnt sound like the foot issue is anything to worry about." would suffice.

Thanks.

I think you're being super sensitive dude. You raised a pretty big fuss over "our WR corps are made up of a bunch of injury riddled players". I simply gave a very straightforward explanation for said concern. I do not think it is remotely fair to lump Miller in with AR or White.

I don't see where you could have construed that I was being a dick. I can be... but this simply was an odd post to pick out to use as an example.

I think you're one of the better posters here.

Cheers

@Payton

Erm... Just re-reading your post and trying to reverse engineer this. "What could POSSIBLY go wrong?"

In the face of a board pretty happy with a draft pick - and you go into a panic. "What are we thinking!? This could be a disaster!" Come on dude... I'm a dick for this interaction? lol

Alright. Felt the Bears got on base so to speak with this draft. Let's see if the development cashes in on the talent. Always will have high expectations when a team is picking top 10.

That's richi's MO. He'll get into an argument and then declare he's right out of nowhere. I feel sorry for his poor wife.

I feel sorry for your wife. You tell her you're going out for beers with the guys... and she doesn't realize that you're actually out looking for a non-white man's genitals to gag on.
