Everyone should remember how bad Sborz was last year. The question is why is he even on this team? We all knew we needed starters and they were not coming this year (less Gray) but considering the cost of $ 500 mil for two players, the cost of a reliever or two was no hill to climb. Wonder how Seager and Semien feel after seeing that bull pen fiasco?

Holland shouldn’t be on the team either. The Rangers need to quit babying Howard also.

true sorry but watching us chase Berrios after a 1/3rd of an inning and scoring 6 runs it was dispiriting to watch that disaster of a pen gives away the game

Starting pitchers deserve good support from the pen to perserve a win. Sborz is not that kind of support.

i agree but those 4 bullpen pitchers only pitched 4 innings and gave up 6 hits, 3 walks and 7 runs with an ERA combined of 15.75. i can't just blame Sborz who gave 3 of those runs with a 27.00 ERA but King gave up 2 also with a 27.00 ERA. and Santans and Holland were pitiful too.

Your right. My comment was on principal. No, Sborz was not alone but because of his performance last year is why he got the first call.

i have to question why we didn't sign a couple of relievers and not chose several of the relievers we did especially Sborz

Myself knowing the rotation was going to likely be weak. Money doesn't play into it since they come cheap relatively speaking. I knew up front we were not planning to spend big money on pitchers and understood why. However, most starters were going to need some help from the pen and we failed them imo.
