Just saw box score. Not surprised Rangers scored a lot of runs. Spend hundreds of millions of dollars and Sborz and Santana are still options. Wait until they call up Matt Moore.

why are we complaining about the bullpen performance? we didn't want them to do anything about it, so no real signings and we go into the season with the same crap we had last year. so all we can do is sit back, watch them implode and wait then next year when everything gets better

Everyone should remember how bad Sborz was last year. The question is why is he even on this team? We all knew we needed starters and they were not coming this year (less Gray) but considering the cost of $ 500 mil for two players, the cost of a reliever or two was no hill to climb. Wonder how Seager and Semien feel after seeing that bull pen fiasco?

Jon Gray had a blister open up on him in the third inning and he said that impacted him in the 4th. The Rangers pulled him due to combination of approaching pitch limit & precaution over blister. He expects to make his next start.

Down East allowed six in the 9th to lose 11-10, a night after they'd scored six in the 9th to win. Frisco's Ariel Jurado allowed 11 hits and seven runs in 4.1 innings. Jurado was considered Texas's second-best pitching prospect at the time, after Yohander Mendez. I'd place the early 2017 version of Jurado somewhere in the 5-10 range of Texas's current pitching crop. Jurado missed 2021 (no idea why) and signed with the Twins during the abbreviated Spring Training.

Ha giving @DTC some grief. Comparing pitching back then to now. We have a lot of good pitching ripening in the vine. Yes we could have spent more on relievers and to me Holland is a waste like you think SBorz is but Holland sits at 92 and SBorz is at 97 but yes Kirkman hrew ir hard too lol

I will have to disagree with Scott. We have at least 10 pitching prospects with more promise than Jurado ever had.

I am not keen on them getting Holland and he looks unflippable and not big on the Kole Calhoun addition either. Out bottom of the lineup had a bad game or just not talented enough

The Calhouns is indeed a mystery.

the offense was good we scored 8 runs and statistical any team with even average pitching given 8 runs should win 9 of 10. this says the Rangers pitching that Rangers pitching, especially the bullpen, is below to well-below average. but we did nothing during the off-season to improve it

I guess the one thing I was hoping was they would bring in Burke for multiple innings but it now makes me wonder if they are saving him for Howard outing.
I want Howard to do well but yeah I do hope they are not babying him
