I thought it came out he was paying a ton of money to the mother of his son? Or he owed back payments...

He's always kept up on his child support payments from what I've heard. His problem is that he has 5 of them outside of his marriage. Along with 2 in his marriage. The mom of the kid that he hit did not want to press charges.

He also likes expensive things and he's not the smartest guy, so I could see him having bad investments. If he really cared about winning, he's made 97 million in his career. That should be enough to take a pay cut to go to a contender.

I'm more excited about the rumor of Woodhead to Denver, we haven't had a player like that in a long time.

I just don't see it as realistic we get Campbell so I'm not that excited. It would be great but with us likely signing Romo and 1-2 Offensive Lineman I can't see us having the space to pay Campbell the money he wants.

Reminder:

The Texans currently have 23.5M in cap space.

A cut to Cushing brings them up to 28.29M. The Texans would have 73M in cap space next season. People claiming they don't have the money for Romo are being silly here and act as though the cap hit will be distributed equally. And in Romo's case, his contract could be heavily incentivized.

Man, how many offseasons in a row are they going to spend big on DB? Tashaun Gibson, Davon House, and now Barry Church. Amukamara was a 1 year deal too recently. Jalen Ramsey was a top 10 pick even if we want to go there.
