Maybe some Redskins fans can chime in if the dude is legit but doesn't seem like a random joe making things up either.
I have read elsewhere the deal is very close to being done...

What I don't get is why would the Dolphins give up a first round pick to sign Butler, when they could spend just a little more money and sign Bouye or Gilmore without giving up draft compensation? To make the Patriots worse? It's not like it's a really weak corner market. Do they feel since there will be fewer teams willing to give up the draft pick, that they could get Butler to sign an offer sheet at a much lower price than Gilmore or Bouye on the market? But they would still have to offer Butler enough money that the Patriots don't match if they actually want Butler. Most likely just speculation. However, maybe this links up with the Tru Johnson potential trade? Dolphins were reportedly willing to outbid the Patriots and give up the first rounder for RFA Malcolm Butler. Maybe this would be an easier trade to absorb for them?
Panthers re-sign Charles Johnson to two-year deal.
Julius Peppers back to Carolina?
Matt Kalil to join his brother on Carolina's O-line?
Rumor is that Gettleman is going to go hard after a LT in Free Agency since the draft is weak on O-lineman.
