Appearing on NFL Network, Sports Illustrated's Mike Silver mentioned Dont'a Hightower as a potential free agent target for the Browns.

Silver also expects the Browns to be in on Kevin Zeitler and Rick Wagner. Hightower should be one of the top linebackers available after being selected as a second-team All-Pro with New England in 2016. At present, the Browns have a remarkable $102.4 million in cap space. Joining the Browns would reunite Hightower with former Patriots linebacker Jamie Collins.

Kirk Cousins - QB - Redskins
According to NFL Network's Mike Silver, it is "more likely than not" the 49ers acquire franchise player Kirk Cousins from the Redskins.

If so, it would be surprising if the trade did not involve Washington acquiring the No. 2 overall pick in April's draft.

I believe the 9ers are confident they can get Cousins as a FA next year so I would be surprised if the #2 pick is involved in a trade.

I think the 9ers will try to leverage the Skins to a trade that's better than a 3rd round comp pick they would get if Cousins leaves as a FA but not overly expensive either.

Honestly they should go all out, that oline would be monstrous.

Just remember, teams like the Browns & Niners have to spend a lot of money this year because they didn't last season. Even the Jags as well. Teams need to spend to get to the rolling floor. So expect a lot of players to get overpaid.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports the Rams are in trade "discussions with several teams" about franchise player CB Trumaine Johnson.

Johnson signed his franchise tender on Monday, which will pay him $16.7 million in 2017. The Rams have been reluctant to sign Johnson to a long-term deal, suggesting they see him as a questionable fit under new DC Wade Phillips. One of the better cover corners in football, Johnson would obviously be a huge get for whoever lands him.

Cardinals signed TE Jermaine Gresham to a four-year contract through 2020.

Gresham has just 55 catches for 614 yards over the past two years, but coach Bruce Arians has developed a bit of a man crush. It's a bit odd, as Gresham struggled mightily as a run blocker in 2016. He does still boast a sure pair of hands, and is a big target in the red zone. He was Rotoworld's No. 6 free agent tight end. Gresham turns 29 in June.

Curious to see what kind of compensation is in play. Rams could really use a 1st rounder this year, but that salary may limit how high any draft picks coming back in trade would be.

Rumor has it Jarvis Landry might be on the trading block. Although it's probably just hopeful speculation by another team's beat writer.

Most likely just speculation. However, maybe this links up with the Tru Johnson potential trade? Dolphins were reportedly willing to outbid the Patriots and give up the first rounder for RFA Malcolm Butler. Maybe this would be an easier trade to absorb for them?

Eliot Shorr-Parks of NJ Advanced Media reports the Eagles "have interest" in free agent CB A.J. Bouye.

According to Parks, the two sides are already talking. Cornerback was a problem area for the Eagles last year with Nolan Carroll, Jalen Mills and Leodis McKelvin (who was cut last month) all receiving negative grades from PFF. Coming off a breakout season in Houston, Bouye is widely considered the best cover corner in this year's free agent class.

Slow burn today. Either nothing is going on or everyone is quiet.

Letroy "357 Grams" Guion got suspended again.

Edit: PED suspension this time.

Jacquizz Rodgers to re-sign with Tampa Bay
By Anthony Cervino Tue, Mar 7th 10:35am EST

ESPN's Jenna Laine is reporting running back Jacquizz Rodgers will re-sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. (Source: Jenna Laine on Twitter)

Fantasy Impact: Rodgers will re-sign with Tampa Bay, "barring any surprises," Laine said via ESPN. The Buccaneers' running back situation is cloudy entering free agency and draft season. With Doug Martin facing a four-game suspension, there is a possibility of the team moving on from their inconsistent and now troubled rusher, leaving a hole in their starting backfield. If Rodgers re-signs, he could compete with Charles Sims for the role of the team's change-of-pace back, assuming no personnel changes. With Martin's future uncertain, expect the Buccaneers to address the running back position either in the draft or free agency.

Tyrod Taylor receiving 'significant interest' from Browns
By Anthony Cervino, Bills Correspondent, Mon, Mar 6th 8:03am EST

NFL Insider Jason La Canfora is reporting Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor is receiving "significant interest" from the Cleveland Browns. (CBS Sports)

Fantasy Impact
Taylor is poised to reach the open market. The Bills are not expected to retain him at his current deal and are likely planning to offer him a lesser contract, which he is unlikely to accept. If and when Taylor becomes a free agent, the Browns will reportedly heavily pursue the 27-year-old signal caller. If Taylor lands in Cleveland, and many of the NFL Insiders believe he will, he would step into the starting job at quarterback, likely spelling the end of Robert Griffin III's tenure with the club. Since becoming the Bills' starter in 2015, Taylor has played in 27 of a possible 32 games and accumulated 6,058 yards, 37 touchdowns and 12 interceptions as a passer and 1,148 yards and 10 touchdowns as a rusher. He would be an immense improvement for a franchise that has been searching for a signal caller since drafting Tim Couch No. 1 overall in 1999.
