Yeah. I kind of don't get it. Lupul is a good player but when your team is a perennial also-ran in the playoff hunt wouldn't you want cap room flexibility instead of just retaining your core long-term?

It's rich for sure. Problem is he was overpaid on his last deal, and you can't really get a player in the 'prime' of their career to take a haircut.

The money is a lot, but I don't get the term of the deal. Lupul has had a problem staying healthy his entire career.
