It's really hard to put much faith in Harry at this time. Maybe the plan is to let him come up, pitch, and see what the results are for about 6 starts.

I have a sinking feeling about Wandy's back and it appears the air is outta Martinez's balloon too. And who knows how Chi-Chi will continue to work.

We are going to have to clear 1-2 roster spots pretty quickly unless someone else goes to 60 man DL. That is why I think we wait on Harry unless they are willing to lose Freeman who has a good arm but suspect control.

Not sure about Wandy. Wasn't his velo what little it is down a bit? We really need controllable LHRP badly. This has cost us games. I would trade Wandy or maybe someone else for that if really good. Roll of the dice but a clear need. We have definite gaps on roster.

We're not going to have much of a choice on Harrison come 2 July.

As far as losing Freeman, that's not an option IMO, as long as that waste of space Detwiler is still on the roster. I'd cut his butt this morning if I could.

And as far as trading Wandy, I just don't think he's going to bring anything of much value back. He pitched just 88 total innings in the previous two seasons, plus he's a FA after this season.

But at least with him, he's a local guy. And like you said, he'd have to express an interest in coming back.

What's the latest word on Tepesch?

Not sure on Teps. I know he went from the 15 day DL to the 60 and I believe it started at the end of April.

Freeman just has no idea where his pitches are going so you are right there and I agree with donaldson on getting rid of him. If we were not so shorthanded with LHers he would already be gone.

I would love for Harrison to come back in great form. The thing I like so much about him and Lewis is that they are mentally tough pitchers.

Freeman just has no idea where his pitches are going so you are right there and I agree with donaldson on getting rid of him. If we were not so shorthanded with LHers he would already be gone.

I'm keeping Freeman long before I'd keep Detweiler. Det is probably going to be DFA when a pitcher or two gets healthy.
