Who pitches the 8th? Soria? This might be one of those games that Wash will have Nathan ready just in case due to Oakland's knack of coming back.

Or we could have tolerated the terrible plays had we not walked guys that eventually scored on those bad plays.

Doesn't really have anything to do with a blue state or not. The fans in the bay area are rough where as fans in LA and the rest of the state is the polar opposite from my experience.

Douche fans are everywhere unfortunately and in all levels and sports at that.

I've actually visited every MLB stadium in California and your assessment is pretty spot-on. Oakland was far and away the most vile and hostile. It was like watching a game in a prison. The fans were more civil across the Bay in SF, but still pretty vocal. Dodgers Stadium is also pretty sketchy because of its location in Chavez Ravine. I took in a Rangers-Angels game in Anaheim wearing my Rangers gear and did not hear one single bad thing toward me. Their fans were very apathetic and far less intense. Padres fans were really laid-back and friendly. I had a great time there.
