So far this year Matt Moore has thrown 5 innings. He has given up 0 hits and 0 walks while striking out 4. That's after a 2.66 ERA last year.

Take a look at Jordan Hicks who worked under Maddox and Moore under Bochy. Had chance for both and punted.

That would be a disaster but a lot of times the pitching steps up when they know the hitting isn’t pulling their weight.

Bochy needs to put his best 9 hitters in the lineup. Tavares is not one of them. Huff should be the backup catcher. Kninzer is showing he is worse with the bat, than Hedges was.
