I am with you DT. I want neither. I could be wrong but I really do not think any of this is being done for the fans benefit.
I wish the sports media would just stop with their overdramatic takes where they feel they have to skewer people. The 2020 season was ruined because of Covid, plain and simple. The owners and the players were left to deal with and make the most of, a situation that was next to impossible to deal with and with a situation that was dire to begin with.
This is more of a commentary than links....boy they hate CJ...not that I am a fan of him but the Grieve CJ pairing is more to my liking than with DaveR... so much hate going on..yikes
Actually that is the media in general. They are very irresponsible and love to throw fuel on a fire.I wish the sports media would just stop with their overdramatic takes where they feel they have to skewer people. I understand, like Adam refers to, that this has left it very hard for the baseball media's profession, but enough with having to make people an enemy when a virus is the enemy. Once baseball couldn't play a half of a season with full stands the season was effectively over. They can stop trying to tell me who I should be mad at as a baseball fan. They can stop telling me that the owners have done something heinous to me. If you have to be mad at something or someone be mad at Covid or be mad at the Chinese government. Just realize that a catastrophe has happened to everyone in this country and that includes everyone in the game of baseball and its fans.
They need to start focusing on how the game moves forward beginning this offseason. Our local guys can focus on the questions that were raised on here after that ridiculous draft, like are our owners broke? Get over this season and move on Mr. and Mrs. Baseball Media.

Good riddance to pitchers batting: VIVA THE UNIVERSAL DH! - HardballTalk | NBC Sports[/QUOTE
I liked baseball long before the DH. I like it now with a DH. As long as the rule is the same for both leagues it will be better.
I saw where it was one particular person who knows the history of the Texas Rangers and from what I understand it was negative to those of the African American race. But of course that is not what it means to us and the guy needs to go find something else to do with his life.Just heard something on the news that I certainly do not like. BLM wants The Rangers to change their name. Why?
Of course as we all do.Here we go!
Columnist Targets Rangers Baseball For Name Change Due To Law Agency's Racist Past: 'It Should Be An Intolerable Embarrassment To Fans'
No embarrassment here. I am proud of our name and what the Texas Rangers law enforcement folks mean to our state.
