I think this could very well be an indication that we will go back into full scale rebuilding mode for the next year or two.

If no fans can attend games anyway, then I guess they could consider trades very soon. It wouldn't be like they would be driving fans away. If selling off veterans allows them to spend this winter then maybe that is the way they go. Of course, they might not be able to spend for quite some time.

To me, whatever kind of a baseball season we have in 2020 will be nothing more than a highly glorified spring training. The only benefit will be to get some of our younger guys some experience and evaluation time. Wins and losses will be no more important to me than they are in ST. Making the postseason will only be important because it will provide even more experience and evaluation.

Maybe instead of comparing it to ST, a better comparison would be more of an extended month of September, when we are out of the pennant race, real games that don't matter too much.
