I wonder what it will be like when Astros players start hitting free agency. Will teams be reluctant to sign them because they fear a rift in the locker room? It also might make it more difficult for the Astros to trade players for the same reason.

More to your point though, he last sat out Sept. 3. He started in 23 straight to finish the season. He started in all but two games in August while going 14 for 97 for a BA of .144.

Yesterday was Verlander’s birthday. he’s now 37.

I keep rooting for old age to catch up to him and his skills to deteriorate. You can say Gerritt Cole was scarier last year, but this cheating ass team wasn’t going anywhere until they acquired verlander. That changed everything.

one flaw the Astros have had is that they haven’t been able to develop any stud pitchers.

verlander and Greinke are both old and they’re both acquired by trade. Having them go downhill or sustain an injury couldn’t happen to a better team of asshats.

Texas Rangers individual tickets go on sale Friday, March 6th at 9:00 AM CT, EXCEPT for the home opener. Tickets for the home opener are currently available through full or partial season ticket packages, including 20-game plans. Individual tickets for the home opener will be announced at a later date.
