Pretty sad and no excuse at all for a death threat

One thing that is needed to appease the mob is real punishment for team or players. Probation perhaps?

Total bad look for the game

death threats are going way too far.

I’ll admit that I was hoping the commissioner would punish them more. The players of other team’s aren’t satisfied and seem determined to take matters into their own hands.

The Astros want this to go away so bad and I think the media should keep talking about it and dragging that team / group of guys through the mud because that’s one of the few ways we can hurt them.

these guys don’t deserve to be comfortable. They should have to worry about what might happen. I’m all for these guys getting beaned over and over but death threats are too far. There’s no place for that.

Back in the day there was no free agency. Wish we could find some middle ground

OK then, does he think baseball is broken? If the Indians can’t find a way to sign him to a contract that keeps him in Cleveland and pays him what he is worth, does that say to him that baseball is broken?

“We’re running a bad business then,” he says, “because there’s money. There’s money out there. It’s an ($11-billion) industry.”

Oh, there’s money out there in the industry. That’s true. But what if most of that money doesn’t flow to a place like Cleveland?

“Then there’s something wrong,” he says, almost matter-of-factly. “And you can’t blame the fans.”

I don’t know why I hate Bregman so much. There’s something about that guy that just pisses me off.

could it be that I think we should’ve been the ones to draft him? Or maybe it’s because we desperately need a 3rd basemen and he turned out to be an amazing player. It might be the fact that he just comes across as a massive douche.

or possibly a combination of all 3 things.

The MLBPA will never stand for Baseball to be fixed. I believe they were close to fixing things at one point and the courts stepped in in the spring of 1995 and saved the union. Judge Sonia Sotomayor is to blame.

Maybe we need contraction.

Santana went 0 for 1 so I guess last year was a fluke after all. Lol

I guess the golden one and savior of the franchise Odor can finally exhale, relax, and hit .400 now because nobody is putting pressure on him anymore?

He has a very punchable face. Pretty sure everyone dislikes him outside of Astros fans.

Agree but Mike Fiers has been as well. It is a crazy world.

He is a very arrogant person. I am right there with you in my dislike of him.

The Astros getting death threats is way too far for anyone not sick in the head. What’s even worse is that their children’s lives are being threatened. It goes to show two things- 1) how vile some people (those who are just trying to scare) can be when they can hide behind a keyboard, and 2) how truly psychotic others (those who actually would follow through with the threats) are.

The only part about it I don’t mind is that it is adding stress to the Astros players’ lives and making their lives a living hell. While nobody should have to worry about his safety and that of his family, they definitely all deserve to be hating life right now for what they did. They literally ruined or permanently altered the lives of multiple players. They stole millions of dollars from guys like Darvish. What they did was akin to corporate espionage and/or insider trading. If they were in any other real world profession, they would be in prison by now. And not a single one of them has acknowledged this fact yet or seems to care.

see that’s the thing.

death threats are way out of line and so is going after the players children.

at the same time...... I’m glad that the media and other players in MLB absolutely refuse to let this go away. It’s a really unique situation because I don’t want anything violent to happen to those guys, but I don’t want them to be able to relax and move on from it either.

I guess I just wish other teams would bean them a combined 100 times over the course of the long season and we could all move on. The commissioner was soft on them and they still need to be punished more in my opinion.

Since there’s nothing going on today...... I went back and watched highlights of the 2018 ALCS. I didn’t watch the series live. It was kind of a baseball low point for me with the hated Astros just coming off a World Series. I just completely tuned it all out.

a couple of observations:

former rangers mitch Moreland, Ian Kinsler, both as Red Sox and asdrubal Cabrera as a National helped ranger fans all over avoid the massive headache of watching this team win 3 championships in a row.

I really enjoyed watching mitch and Kinsler get the big hits in the final game of the ALCS that put the series away.

Cabrera played second base better for the nationals than I’ve ever seen Odor play for us while I was watching him in the World Series. He played great defense and came up with some clutch hits. It’s disappointing that the nationals didn’t have to give us anything for him, but it worked out well in the end for us and for him.

is there an organization more detestable then the Astros? I thought the blue jays were a bunch of classless punks, but these Astros are a bunch of smug / arrogant jerks. It really is a very easy team to dislike before the cheating scandal, but now I flat out hate them and don’t feel bad for anything bad that happens to them short of death threats or serious bodily harm.

The Astros copied us and had fat Nolan sit behind home plate.

they hired Nolan Ryan’s son who I consider to be a waste of space.

Reid ryan went out of his way to leverage a national disaster against us and make us look bad in the state / national media.

they drafted Bregman one or two slots in front of us. We probably would’ve taken him.

yuli gurriel is a racist prick.

Carlos correa acts much bigger and tougher than he actually is. The guy probably has a small dick.

Bregman has douche written all over his forehead.

luhnow is the most shady and underhanded GM ever in MLB history.

their fans think they’re funny by calling us the “Arlington rangers”.

Ughhh...

have a good weekend everyone.

Joke’s on them, then, because Arlington is 100 times nicer of a city than Houston. Houston is a complete toilet. I’d rather be the Arlington Rangers than the Houston Astros any day of the week.
