There is still room to trim the 40-man with Curtis and Butler still on it.

I agree but perhaps they want but, really as a AAA backup. If he has options I am ok with that otherwise might be time to move on

I guess I'm the only one who has no concerns whatsoever with the timetable of the managerial search.

Think not. Count me in as one ok with it.

I like the Rangers getting new blood perspective in the system. We have been shopping for more than a manager

Wow is right. Comes as a surprise to me. Glad to see Perez gone.

Looks like they are looking for some upside on defense. Wonder if a trade is on the horizon otherwise IKF and Trevino when ready.

We will add at least one more catcher

A lot of moves today. I wonder who comes in to replace these guys.

So basically 30-35 million (Choo's salary + Gray's salary for 2019) for one year of Gray?

Do the Yankees really want to get rid of Gray THAT BAD? I don't think they do, not to take on 20+ million of Choo
but I thought everyone wants to get rid of Choo no matter what it cost or what we get back in return. Choo has 2 years left & $42M on his contract so we eat $11M each year and get rid of him

Maybe some of the guys we want to protect for Rule 5

I guess this means Santa Claus didn't get an interview.

There’s the guy ( I think)

It truly felt like this managerial search was going to “never ever quit”.

No word on the contract or $ yet. This is another head scratcher by Rangers front office

Agree. Can't see what on his resume made him the perfect fit. But I am sure when the announcement is made we will here the corporate-speak that will tell us why.

Why do you think so? His resume not outstanding but he may become a great mgr.

Looking for:
1. Which coaches stay and are any moved to minors.
2. Why changes on iF coaching and shift analytics made
3. Are we looking to get a catcher/CF/move LHB?

Thoughts - yes a lot of interviewing but wonder if Woodward on radar prior to WS and kept everything on down low as JD does until it finished. If so the wait was not too long.

Woodard wouldn't have been my choice. But willing to give him a chance to see what he can do.

I don't know who could do much with this team. JD has to give him or whomever something to work with.

Truth. Every one we let go does not look like a huge loss.

Better players make managers look better.

FWIW MY likes him. But again a great coach still needs good players
