Sale is just abusing Gallo. I personally wouldn't have played him tonight.
I agree but I guess it was who do we want abused tonight. Gallo or Fielder?

It's too bad he wasn't looking to swing on the first pitch. That was one he could've handled.

I was hoping when I saw that pitch coming that he had recognized from his last AB. But he may have been sitting of fastball.
I'd prefer Fielder.

I agree. I believe Gallo just got a day off Sunday and then Monday was an off day so he certainly didn't need one from a physical standpoint.Naw....let Gallo get exposed to what the real world of MLB is all about. It's no big deal for him to get abused tonight.
Prince is gonna be here all year. Let him have a night off from the Monster-of-the-Midway and try to get em tomorrow.
Anybody in particular we should pick in the draft Monday?
I wonder how we compare to other teams. I know there have been several draft picks over the years that I have really wondered about, but it is so hard to judge something like that at the time. I was just going by how certain publications had them ranked compared to the slot Texas drafted them at. It is very hard to tell on draft day if the team drafted right or wrong really. We have had a lot of clunkers it seems, but then I am not sure how that compares to other teams.Somewhat OT ... but relevant perhaps to the draft topic. I loaded TEX draft picks from 2005 - 14 into Excel. Total of 481 players. Of those 481 ... only 11 are currently relevant: Holland, Ranaudo, Moreland, Scheppers, Tepesch, Claudio, Rua, Martinez, Klein, Kela and Gallo. Only three position players out of 481 picks have made it to the ML roster as a starter AND are still here.

Does anyone have any opinions on if Matt Harrison's lower velocity is going to be fixable? Is it just a matter of pitching more and getting more conditioned or is it an almost impossible thing to overcome at this point?
I saw where Odor had a really good game today and he has his average up well over .300.
I think some of Feliz's problems in that area was a lack of confidence. I wonder if Matt needs to build up some confidence that he isn't going get hurt before he really lets loose. Maybe more of a subconscious thing. Maybe that or maybe all physical or some of both. Hard to know this far removed from him.I'd like to think it is, but only time will tell.
