If he only hit 21 HRs he would have had to do a lot of other things for me. Very good defense, a lot of doubles, and a very high average.

And he was projected to do all those things... you really are going to split hairs on 4-5 HRs?? We're not talking a huge difference here, and who's to say if he wasn't a better hitter and made better contact that some of those don't become HRs, again the his issue was his batting average not his power numbers

That was sad to the point of almost being cruel. Wasn't meant to be, but as far as I'm concerned, he's the poster boy on how not to cultivate your draft picks.

Smoak was a hyperinflated figment of the scouts imagination.
