Subban's new deal also includes a full no-movement clause for the entire 8-year term.

Pfft, Cory Sarich had a full no-movement clause as well. Of course, he utilized his during games.

Well... looks like Subban ain't coming to Dallas. That just means we'll be able to sign Benn to a similar deal in a few years.

Interesting that they were asking $8.5 in the arb case, and ended up with $9m.

I was surprised the annual amount was more than 8.5 million. You make a good point.

I'm sure no one would talk but I would love to know where they were at when negotiations fell apart Thursday night.

It wasn't a money issue. PK was trying to get a guarantee that he gets to kiss Pierre each season, but when the Habs explained they have no control over that, things quickly came together.

You fellas gotta read the Alan Muir story over on Gayhoo. He actually called Slewbban the electrifying player in the game. The same shitbum, reigning Norris Trophy winner who's defense is so horrid that he was left to watch from the press box as the rest of Team Canada (aka; real hockey players) won the gold medal.
