I mean just by process of elimination. Winston is out, Manziel is out after what happened in Death Valley, Mariotta is out, and if this score holds up in blowout fashion, Bryce Petty is out. The guy in the pole position has to be McCaron, whom also has TWO big games left to make even more of a case for Heisman. Thoughts?

Don't think McCarron has a shot. He'll be invited though.

I guess I should of said that Winston SEEMS to be out. I'd LOVE to be wrong, but I think they're gonna hold this case against him no matter what

There is too much Alabama fatigue for McCarron to get enough votes. If CJ Mosely could catch I'd say he should be the Heisman winner.

If there is justice in this world, he should be considered in the running and taken as a strong candidate. All the kid does is win games, keep his reputation clean, and lead his team to big wins, that has to account for something based on the traps the others have fallen into.

Id say the odds of Mccarron getting it jumped dramatically in the past week and today.

This same thing could be said for the Northern Illinois QB, the world is full of injustices.

McCaron doesn't deserve the heisman, the Alabama offensive line deserves it before him. Anybody could play QB successfully behind that line.

Last year, sure, but this year's Bama o-line started off very young and inexperienced, and they still have a hard time opening lanes for RBs.

I think at some point the body of work a player has should be considered if he has been consistent or not. McCarron just won his 36th game as a starter and set the all time mark at Alabama. I think winning two titles and going for a third one should be seen as stellar accomplishments and taken into consideration.

And i dont say this because he is the QB of my team, I would be saying this no matter what. Sometimes its just apparent that one kid is head and shoulders above the competition in certain areas, and McCarron has that in leadership skills and off the field demeanor. On the field he is a pretty stellar QB also, which should be looked at in its context.

This is the worst line we've had since he's been there. Our O-Line is just mediocre.

I love McCaron as the Heisman. Being at Bama may actually hinder his chances but the dude wins, he completes a lot of his passes, doesn't throw pics and has 2 Rangz going into this year that I do not see how he doesn't get a 3rd.

He actually has three BCS rings, he was the backup to McElroy in 2009, and he has two SECCG rings. Kid is sporting some serious hardware already.

He actually has 3 rings now, 2009, 2011 and 2012. He didn't take a snap in 2009 though but he was still on the team.
