The Rams need to draft a good young QB, let Bradford go and let Clemens start next season. I have always liked Clemens because he plays reckless to a point and yet is becoming more comfortable with the kids on offense who seem to be taking to Clemens. Heck, a Ram receiver has already stated that he feels Clemens over Bradford? I guess we will see what Clemens can do and if my opinion has any merit when we play the Bears. If Clemens comes on again then the Rams need to really watch.

People lets get some perspective. Clemens is NOT a starting NFL QB.

His career numbers are 52.5 completion %, 10 TD's 15 int's, 65.3 rating and a 26.4 QBR. He's not a good QB.

Jacob it's clear you like to follow me around to argue. And it's clear you love Bradford, which is fine... Just don't let it cloud your judgment. He's not that good. If he was, there would be many times where we would be actually impressed.

Lol

If the Rams draft Johnny Football, Mariota or Carr, they start from day 1. Period. If they don't draft a QB in round 1, Bradford will be back. Teams dont fool around with the most important position in football.

If Sam stays and we pay him 17.5 mill next year, then there is something seriously wrong with this organization. Now if he restructures his contract, then I would be ok with him starting. But hey.. drafting a new qb would create a healthy competition. THere is NO way Bradford is worth that kind of money!!! One guy counting ten percent of our salary cap??? .......F*** that!!

And thats the argument for getting rid of Bradford - save some money and use it to bring in another player and draft a new QB. Bradford is only an average QB when he has been healthy and he's only batting .500 on healthy years so far.

But Clemens? :L

No. Clemens is a backup and a very average one.

But the Rams also have to be in a position to get a new QB and thats really only going to happen if Washington keeps losing

So what this all boils down to is, does Sam want to win?? Or is he in it for the money?? I think Sam knows this is a losing organization and his chance of being successful here are slim, so he might as well suck up as much denaro as he can. Who cares about winning, as long as he is being paid well.

If he restructures, this shows me he is wants to help this team. Nowadays these kids are getting so much money right out of college that their minds just not into the game and they fail. But I dont think he is willing to do this. Heck unless the money is good, most decent free agents dont want anything to do with a crappy team, they want to go to a winner. Take Finnegan for example, he would have never came here had we not give him a huge contract. Now he sucks and we are regretting it. His plays has diminished. Oh well, but he is rich!! If he would have gone to a contender, I'll bet his play would be outstanding.

The rest of the team knows/sees what Braford/Finnegan is getting paid and they know because of these huge contracts with only below average performance's, they probably wont be setting any records or winning any championships here. This is unhealthy. They probably dont think that its fair that these guys are getting paid 10 times the amount they they are.

I believe this will be the tipping point for a lot of fans. Even the Bradford supporters have to admit that he isn't worth the salary he's getting right now. If he tries ( or his agent, whom we all know to be money grubbing #@#%) to get a top 10 QB contract, which he definitely isn't worth, then there is going to be a lot of arguments and dissention on both sides, and eventually some hard feelings in the end. Make no mistake---Bradford is an AVERAGE QB, and he deserves only average $$$. If he finally does start to perform up to expectations, then he can finally earn some of the money that he's been (over) paid from the start. Pay attention to some of the anonymous comments that crop up around the league----Bradford is not looked upon by the other GMs and coaches as an elite QB that is being held back by lack of talent around him anymore. He's being held back by lack of talent WITHIN him at this point. After 4 years still locking onto receivers, happy feet, poor defensive reading ability, wets himself in critical situations, etc. He doesn't have the mentality to play a real man's game. He's better suited for the slow, plodding college game and opponents he faced at Oklahoma.

And RamTim, please go into the kitchen and pick up a spatula and slap yourself in the head 11 times for even suggesting that Clemens is a starting QB in this league. If he was so great, why has he bounced around the league for so many years? Did he suddenly have an epiphany the last game and now he's "seen the light" and gotten 100% smarter? I think not. And besides that, he has followed that renowned offensive wizard and play-caller Shottenheimer around, which is a damning indictment in itself. Let's not over-react because the Rams won a game convincingly. Let's just wait and see some consistency before we all hold hands and sing Kum Ba Yah.

We need a QB, we need coaches, and we need Redskin losses, (and Ram losses if they ain't going anywhere) probably in that order if we want a better season next year. Lets not cloud the facts with sentiment.

Bradford is better than Clemens yes. If they draft a QB next year that's fine. But saying they need to start Clemens next year is nuts. If they do draft a QB it would be to take over immediately or to sit behind Brafdford for a year or two and then take over when Bradford's contract is up. Making Clemens the starting QB should never be an obtion. As usual you miss the point. It's not about Sam it's about people who think Clemens is a viable option as a starting QB.

One thing that is certain. Since they've changed their plan of attack starting with the Houston game, the team has played better. Ironically, the two best games the Rams have played the QB’s have thrown a total of 32 passes (16 each). It took too long for the coaching staff to realize that throwing 45-50 times a game and running the ball 16-18 times a game wasn’t going to work. They needed to get back to Jeff Fisher type football and I think both coaches and fans alike may have overestimated the Rams talent at the “skill positions”. Zack Stacey has helped as well because they now feel they can lean on the running game to set the tone for how they want to play.

Your suggestion LTR begs the question as to what will be the fate of Pead? I think we will know the answer next week when T.J.MacDonald returns to the lineup and they need a roster spot unless they opt to hold MacDonald inactive for another week or two just to be on the safe side. There is a very good chance Pead will be cut.

I can dig this, but sometimes the running game gets stopped. And by this I mean, when you run the ball successfully you obviously don't need to throw. You take time off the clock and wear the D down. But sometimes, the running game gets stopped and every team needs an answer for that when it does happen.

Well Fisher's mindset has always been that he wants to be more balanced and the Rams offense needs to be balanced to compete. The "weapons" aren't what any of us expected. There were clearly throwing the ball more early and have committed themselves to the run the last sevearl weeks. Now some of the pass happy offense had to do with playing from behind and the lack of production from Richardson but they are clearly a better offense when they run pass ratio is pretty close or favoring the run.
