Thanks for the link, good read.

"On the biggest stage imaginable, this was a 1970s-style defensive beatdown in a new-millennium league, which makes it as impressive as any single-game defensive performance in the sport — in any year."

Great stuff Wizard, I especially like the part where they are talking about blueprints and trying to replicate it.

"just remember. buying a stratocaster doesn't make you Jimi Hendrix", an apt analogy considering Hendrix was from Seattle.

Agree Mr. Tacoma

With the NFL geared to help the offense on every corner and to promote scoring, the Hawks Defense did something to the #1 Scoring offense in NFL HISTORY that needs to be talked about so much more than it is.

The Game is set up to give success to offenses and makes defense so much harder to play than it was in the 70's, 80's, 90's. This Defense the Hawks put on the field if allowed to play like those defenses in years gone by would have won 43-0. This is what they need to be talking about. In this time and in this era of NFL football you shouldn't be able to do what the Hawks defense did and has done. It's seems that all the talking heads forgot that was the "GREATEST OFFENSE OF ALL TIME" and look what happened.

Great article.

Enjoyed it and enjoyed reading some of the comments as well. Especially the "barely made the SB" comment from one of the haters.

Yeah, you know you have arrived on the national scene when you have haters around every corner. Sure beats the days when no one gave a shit about us doesn't it? :yahoo:

Hasn't really been talked about but its something I have been looking for about Sherman injury.

and cornerback Richard Sherman injured an ankle in the Super Bowl.

“He has a second-degree ankle sprain,” Carroll said. “But you saw him getting around pretty good [in the parade Thursday]. It’s going to take him a number of weeks, but he’ll be OK.”
