The is a one-shot on DisneyPlus for Trevor Slattery. It is actually pretty good.

It was very good. I can some inspiration from The Black Panther in the 3rd act, but this is an excellent movie in it’s own right. It adds a nice Kung fu flavor to the MCU.

This film is amazing and incredible.

I absolutely recommend that you go see this in theaters immediately if you have not yet done so.

I thought the female cast stole the movie much of the time.

I wouldn't go that far. It's entertaining for sure. And the fight scenes are solid. But its surprisingly shallow. Shang Chi as a character might even be blander in this film than Captain Marvel was. Every other character in the film felt more interesting than him. And the movie moves at breakneck pace too yet accomplishes very little in actually making you feel any kind of connections to the characters. It's more of a paint by numbers, move to the next scene type of deal instead of establishing some gravitas and emotional weight. Because of that, it really drags the film down. It's not terrible, but it keeps it from being A level. It's more a solid B.

Saw it today. I liked it. The fight scenes were 9+/10 and there were a lot of them. Plot was okay. Humor was par the course for a Marvel origin movie.

Ill re-watch when it's on Disney+. The fight scenes were really fucking cool.

Just watched on Disney+.

Thought it was good, not great.
Excellent fight choreography, though.

i watched it last night, i enjoyed it... I do understand why they had to make a lot of Iron Man 3 references, but thought it was a little too much because it happened so long ago, and many of us forgot about it... not to mention we wanted to forget about it since it was the worst marvel movie out there...

also, i think they needed to explain better that the mother was a guardian and therefore one of the better warriors from that land... i think that would have made some other battles in this movie make more sense...

Disagree about Iron Man 3 being the worst. I thought Iron Man 2, Captain America and Thor: The Dark World were worse.

Pretty damn good movie.... But it was mainly the fight choreography that sold it for me. Most of the plot points were a little too farcical but the fights made it worthwhile. And I'm glad it takes place after Endgame so its a smoother transition/intro into the MCU.

Curious is Shang-Chi makes an appearance in Doctor Strange 2.

I would guess he will, though I understand the primary team up will be with Scarlet Witch.

I get the feeling that DS2 will be a big building block for phase 4 (or whatever phase we're in now)... Sorta like how Civil War bridged so many characters together. Have to imagine they have brought in all the new characters in some shape or form to reimage the MCU.

I can see that. Though I suspect the Eternals will remain separate for a while.

Haven't watched that yet. Nor did I see the Falcon & Winter Soldier show... Still on my watch list. Do you think watching the Eternals is essential to the MCU? Honestly doesn't look all that exciting to me.

Really lookin forward to seeing the new Spiderman.
