I just can't help thinking that if Sarah Michelle Gellar was funnier, then Robin Williams would still be with us.

Seen this in the politics forum, thought I would bring it over. Might be worth reading.

for the fun of it, read the comments section, Merica is angry.....

16 Fake News Stories Reporters Have Run Since Trump Won
Of course they don't talk about all the fake news that came out against the Democratic side (pizzagate, etc)...anyway:

Tweets...retweets...facebook. The scourge of social media and the disease, or "epidemic", as the article articulates, it spreads is the main culprit. I'd say the biggest immediate impact would be to ban news agencies and public officials from using them. It's lazy journalism, and with the flood of noise coming from social media makes it that much harder to verify and validate information. We've become a society addicted to sound bites (140 characters or less), and both sides use them to their advantage (or detriment).

16 Fake News Stories Reporters Have Run Since Trump Won

In several of those there is some serious hair-splitting.

For example the CNN headline cited in the DeVos section is word-for-word accurate. How is that fake news? The author then sums up that section by strawman-ing that entire item of "fake news".

The climate change "fakeness" seems to stem from this author's dislike for the word purge. It IS normal for administrations to update things but the removal of all climate change talk is very telling. That WAS the essence of the news coverage. Overblown? Maybe. But hardly fake.

There are several other leaps from real to fake made in this article that I'm too tired to outline. It's a horribly biased piece which is rich considering the topic it tries to cover.

Now does the media (at least certain outlets/authors) sensationalize much of what Trump does in a negative light? Absolutely. Have they done that for every president since JFK? Absolutely. It's to be expected even more so with Trump because he has tried to discredit pretty much all media.

The fact that there is "fake news" no longer alarms me. It's been happening since there was "real news". What alarms me is that any dissenting voice in the media is decried as "fake" by the Trump administration. It's even more disturbing that a large segment of the population just takes them at their word. It's even further disturbing that the American president feels like he has the right to say which media sources are real (pro-Trump) and which are fake (critical of Trump even just once it seems) and that this is somehow acceptable to many.

Have a great night!! :suds:

Horribly biased piece, OK!! Some other time will discuss media biased, too tired to get into it tonight.

Reason I brought it over was that maybe, just maybe folks will consider the source, read or actually listen to another views before believing.

You have a nice night also.:suds:

How is that fake news?

They disagree with it, duh.

To be fair, Bill Belichick was the mastermind of a terror attack against Atlanta this past Sunday.

Bill Belichek is Muslim too? No wonder everyone hates him.

By the way, there was a terror attack in Atlanta once... by this guy.
Eric Rudolph - Wikipedia

You may remember that name for the list of anti-government white-nationalist terror attacks the other day.

Make america great again

I still maintain that if Texas did secede, and took the next five states to its' right with them, we'd all be better off.

Firing squad? What next? Stoning?

Or is stoning too Sharia law-y?
