Go Army!
Lamar Jackson??Lamar Jackson just got cut. Do the hawks kick the tires to see if he could provide some CB depth?

Sure the size is intriguing, but I'm massively skeptical of anyone who can't make the Jets.
Wow.... I guess he's slightly overshadowed by the other guy with the same name.Lamar Jackson Stats, Height, Weight, Position, Draft, College | Pro-Football-Reference.com

The Hawks have given up a 6th and 7th round pick for 2 CB in the past week. This doesn't make me feel good about our CB room, not one bit.
Ben Levine of profootballrumors.com has Tre Flowers and Ahkello Witherspoon as the starters - which has me confused and concerned. If that is true (what the hell happened to Reed) then we're looking at pretty large cushions and easy receptions all season long. I'm just hoping he's being a moron, and doesn't really know what's happening.

Reed has been coming back from an injury.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a bigger fan of Flowers than most, but he's been asked to give a cushion he can't possibly consistently defend. IDK if that's just Norton's conservative style, or if they felt Flowers wasn't good enough to maintain coverage from the line, but when he's on the field they concede 1st downs by scheme.
John Clayton said yesterday that DJ Reed's injury may take a bit more time to heal than initially thought...Ben Levine of profootballrumors.com has Tre Flowers and Ahkello Witherspoon as the starters - which has me confused and concerned. They also got John Reid from the Texans. Another intriguing CB based on size and ability.CB is probably the weakest position on an overall very strong roster, so it makes sense to me the FO is doing what they can to try to address it after maybe not seeing what they wanted to see so far during camp & pre-season. Trading for a couple guys now to have more options is better than doing nothing and hoping things work for the best.
Looking forward to seeing Sidney Jones back in the PNW, and I bet the trade was music to his ears after toiling in Philly for 3 years and Jax for 1. Maybe he hasn't quite become the NFL player that we thought, but he also hasn't played a ton -- just 1 game in his rookie season (torn achilles before the draft) and 30 since. He's had 17 pdef in his last 21 games (2 seasons), which seems like a good clip. I think we got a little better with this trade, and I don't think we'll miss that 2022 6th rounder.
