I watched the replay of this 5 or 6 times. Clearly they were not ready for the hail Mary. If you watch every WTF player was still running towards the end line which means no one was in position to jump and defend the ball. At least two Saint players were.

The Saints had two choices an out of bounds play that allowed them to get enough yards to try a FG and stop the clock. A hail Mary. I don't know who this is on the players; the coaches or both.

Smoot on the after show making me laugh. Responding to a caller

‘Step away from the ledge...Look at the Packers, football gods gifted them 2 HOF QBs... one right after the other...40 years of great QBs...and they’ve only gotten 2 SB wins from it. That’s football’
That is funny and shoots HUGE holes in a couple of posters idea that trading a bunch of draft picks for Watson will turn the team around. What was Houston's record last year?

A great QB helps but does not make an entire team great.

He is a high risk QB. He will make some plays but will make some bonehead ones too. The problem is that he has a defense that gives us 30 points every week so maybe he is trying to hard b/c he thinks he has to score 30 every week to be competitive to win. After all of the miscues with this team the defense has shot to get off the field to give the ball back to the offense for a GW drive. It didn't happen just like the Chargers game. What a wacky season so far. Im curious to see what happens against the Chiefs. It would be funny if we held them under 30 points. lol.

They have been doing this all season although it took me two weeks to be aware. On 1st down they play 5-2 and after that the play 4-2. They tried a little one LBer sets early today but went back to what they have been doing. We wouldn't be tipping them off if we told the coaching staff they need LBers.

Yep. I liked the irony of the comment given how cursed we all sometimes feel in terms of this team with our ‘what ifs’

My take on Landon is he is a free lancer. Guys like that sometimes poison the clubhouse. That was my fear in him returning this year.

Add to that you had two DEs who felt they were individuals and didn't need to be at camp. Someone posted last week that the players don't agree with the coaches scheme. NO SHIT??? What do you think would happen to them if they played for Belichek and said that?

Patterson was used today
4 carries which would equal the number of carries he had going into the game. Watch though, they won't start giving him some significant work until they make sure to injure Antonio Gibson for the rest of the season. I give it 3 weeks tops. Stupid mothafuckers.

If TH really thinks he played well except for two picks ... we have a problem.

Have to agree here. Lets not burn up AG. JD and JP can help carry the load.

Why did they let Cosmi go back in?
