lol! My sentiments exactly!!Absolutely Not. So much talent squandered by him. Really think it was a story of ego and work ethic.

I am a believer in JN. I want JN to pan out. JN has only 6 games of NFL experience. At times he looked lost last Sunday. He faced a lot of doubles and was crazy quick off the ball.
Signing him now might mean the difference between 23 mill - 25 mill n 30 -33 mill next year.He is on a tag for 21 mil , he ain’t signing for less . If it cost 30 mil to sign Tee then I keep looking or draft a guy . Our defense needs help our offense is top 5
I would rather pay a little more and still have my picks , more bang for the buckSigning him now might mean the difference between 23 mill - 25 mill n 30 -33 mill next year.
The offense is top 5.........after 6 games. You're talking like it's top 5 for the 2nd year in a row.
Yeah, the defense is basically a pile of dog shit on top of a giant pile of horse shit again and it has multiple needs. But acquiring another legit WR is also a legitimate need. You can say it's not as big a need, I wouldn't necessarily disagree. If a solution to the lesser need should arise. Passing up that solution is not sound rationale. Sure, there's reason to believe the Skins offense is in the midst of a real turnaround. It's still far from a finished product.
Now, I know that you're just effing with folks!I would rather pay a little more and still have my picks , more bang for the buck
I don’t care to or want to trade down . We have 9 picks now and cap space .Now, I know that you're just effing with folks!
This is a terrible way to test this new front office and continue the same debating points that happen here year after year.
So, let me clear up a couple of things before the 2025 draft.
1. This front office won't be interested in trading down with early picks as has been done in previous years in order to get a Jahan Dotson and passing on guys like Chris Olave, Jameson Williams, and Kyle Hamilton.
2. Some of our members will have to find other things to debate because collecting more picks (I'll call it shit kicking down the road) is not going to be a thing anymore.
It happens every year at draft time! In fact it was a hot topic this past draft, remember?I don’t care to or want to trade down . We have 9 picks now and cap space .
I don’t want to trade for guys I don’t need to trade for .
Yeah I don’t need to trade for him when he is an FA next year . Waste of resourcesIt happens every year at draft time! In fact it was a hot topic this past draft, remember?
You wrote, "I don’t want to trade for guys I don’t need to trade for."
Rephrased, it can easily be read as... "Eff maximizing the potential of the current team and building for the future now! I want to wait until next year's Christmas draft and rummage sales."
Btw; I support and defend your right to hold this point of view. It does, however, make interesting conversation, and fills the board with posts making this one the envy or perhaps ass hats of all others on the hoop!
Worse to first was a possible thing for most teams, and a testament to how far away from that idealogy this franchise has been.I remember all the debates regarding how many years it took to build a championship level team in the NFL.
I gave up the debate when I consistently heard 5 years from some.
Yeah I don’t need to trade for him when he is an FA next year . Waste of resources
Except we didn’t do that now did we ? We repeatedly tried short cuts and failed every timeHeh. You've been talking that stay the course shit going back to the days of Cousins haven't you. And I just realized it's been working. It's like a 5 to 7 year cycle. The Skins are wet dog shit for 4 to 6 of those years, win a weak ass NFC East in year 5 or 7. To be immediately ass paddled out the postseason.
That's a hellified track record of staying the course. Steady like a rock.
What shortcuts? I can't front. I don't remember many short cuts during that particular time period. I do recall draft after draft that were of little to no benefit. Which one would say is more on the people overseeing the draft and not the draft itself. Which is somewhat the point as well I guess.Except we didn’t do that now did we ? If the person calling the shots far as who's in charge of acquiring talent knows what he's doing. If he made good choices overall in the draft and in free agency. Doesn't it stand to reason he'll be pretty decent at trading as well?
Sure, the only thing I'm runnin is my mouth. Still interested to see those short cuits of which you spoke.Well
Perhaps you could trust him not to make stupid trades and exercise patience
Alex smith trade Wentz trade are 2 , how far do I go back ? Deon ? Haynesworth. ?Sure, the only thing I'm runnin is my mouth. Still interested to see those short cuits of which you spoke.
Fitz, Deion and Hatynesworth weren't trades. They were FA signings. Far as Wentz n Alex. go. What was so short-cut about Smith becoming a Skins player exactly? Yeah, they tried fuckin Kirk, but he fucked them instead and then signed with Minn gettin while the gettin was good. So what were the Skins supposed to do? They were picking 12 or 13 in the draft that year and some of the QBs coming out were Mayfield, Darnold, Rosen, Josh Allen was a sleeper n Lamar Jackson, who was the only QB drafted in the 1st rd after the Skins had picked @ 12 or 13. I don't recall any posters on this board saying we needed to draft one of those QBs. So the Skins, got lucky really n traded CB Kendall Fulller and a 3rd rd pick for AS.. An adequate starting CB and a 3rd rd pk for a legit starting QB is an OK deal by most standards. Snyder/Allen being vindictive, short-sighted ass0s fucked up in how they went at KC n that put them in a corner when he left, but the AS trade bailed them out. It was lucky as hell probably desperate to, but it wasn't a short cut.Alex smith trade Wentz trade are 2 , how far do I go back ? Deon ? Haynesworth. ?
