The Washington Commanders will face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday at Fed Ex Field. The Eagles are favored to win by 6.5 points. To win the game, the Commanders will need to play their best football and capitalize on the Eagles’ weaknesses. Ron Rivera has emphasized the importance of playing with discipline and minimizing mistakes. The Commanders’ defense will need to be at their best to stop the Eagles’ offense. They will need to pressure the Eagles’ quarterback and force turnovers. On the offensive side of the ball, the Commanders will need to establish a strong running game and make big plays in the passing game, essentially mimicking the Eagle's strengths. It is worth noting that in their last matchup a few weeks back, the Eagles won by a close score of 34-31 in overtime.

The Washington Commanders can potentially defeat the Philadelphia Eagles in their upcoming game by considering the following strategies:

Improve Offensive Performance:
In their previous game the Commanders were held to 273 total yards, including 76 rushing and were 1 of 15 on 3rd down conversions. So, improving their offensive performance could be the key to controlling the game and pulling off a much needed upset.

Leveraging their previous performance: Whatever they did in the previous game , keep doing it! They were able to keep that game close losing in overtime. Building on such a performance could be beneficial on Sunday and in future games.

Capitalize on the Eagles weaknesses: Jalen Hurts tweaked his knee in their last game. If he’s not 100% the Commanders could take advantage of this. Another key will be to find explosive plays against the Eagles newly-reinforced secondary. Doing this will help them gain significant yardage and keep the Eagles defense on their toes.

Maintain Momentum
: Despite recent struggles, the Commanders have shown some potential in earlier games. Maintaining momentum when it’s on their side will be important. That said, their top goal must be avoiding sacks against Philadelphia’s ferocious pass rush. The key to this comes with improved offensive line performance and avoiding another day against a stifling defensive front. If Washington can’t muster more than another 76 yard run total, they’ll have to once again rely on a passing game that will make them one dimensional and predictably a greater risk to turn the ball over.

Health of Key Players: As is true in any game ensuring the health and fitness of key players will be crucial for the Commanders. This week Jonathan Allen famously or infamously vented his frustration after another inexcusable loss. Giving Philadelphia another real test could boost morale. A win this week can literally save the Commanders season.

Those are my thoughts... You all know the drill and here are the questions...

1. Who wins this game?

2. Final score?

3. Player(s) of the game?

4. Memorial moment, event, or play, that will have everyone talking on Sunday night and Monday mornings?
