I still have some hope for Kramer at center, but I am sure they will sign two more guards to play center this spring.

Between Jones, Kiran, Wright and Borom I think we can have a solid 5. That block Jones threw on the linebacker to break the Swift run was a thing of beauty. I guess good things happen when a QB does not make you block for 5 seconds every play.

I sure hope you mean Shelton. Kramer is never going to be our center. It's been YEARS.

no, I have no hope for Shelton, but I guess you are making my point. Much like the Chicago Cubs, they keep bringing in betterans to block the path of our drafted prospects. This year, you commit to Bates as your starting center for 4 million who has only played guard, then a guy the Rams moved on from for 3 million while they start a rookie. How does a Kramer compete with that?
Poles has been fixated on Bates since he became GM much like Jerry Krause pined for Toni Kucoc or Jed Hoyer and Anthony Rizzo.
If Kramer is let loose this off season, my bet is Cincinatti takes him because he was thoroughly impressive at the joint practices and we will have let another one slip through while looking for greener pastures. Pretty sure he is not sticking at guard now because they need a backup center more than him playing guard.

For the rest of this season.

I am more curious as to who the HC and OC will be next season.

For me, Poles has a few blemishes, like the OLine and the head coach (which I don’t even think was his call), but he has brought in a lot of talent. I don’t think firing him this year was ever really an option.

I saw it too. Seems strange. Might just be posturing for the HC market.

I uh... I think... uh...

That this guy Poles is fired.

I can't believe I just said that. Such madness and chaos that this season devolved into.

I mean...He deserves it. He hitched his wagon to Eberflus and his player pickups didn't pan out. We've also lost at historic clips over his time here and anyone watching the games has no feeling of confidence going into next season. How much losing is necessary to prove the point that he isn't getting it done?

I mean, those are decent drafts bruh, particularly '23.

Other than not building from the inside out, the picks themselves have been pretty decent. Throw in the Carolina fleece, and I'd say the Draft is probably the highlight of his tenure? :noidea:
