Yeah, i dont necessarily agree with them. Folks are looking for someone to blame. Theyre entitled to where they want to point the finger.

I still think Poles has built a better, cap-friendly team (compared to before he took over) and acquired draft picks. He's had some misses for sure. But i think Warren has been zero help. And from what I've read, McCaskey has thrown a few vetoes Poles' way as well (i.e. firing Eberflus sooner).

Given Poles' position in the pecking order, cant see him throwing the McCaskeys or Warren under the bus - so he takes the heat.

Poles imo is doing well considering the lack of help from the execs above him. No garauntee the next GM does any better.
I’m in agreement with you, and to expand on it, I’m not sure what fans were expecting when we fired Waldron and then Flus? Poles did the right things there, just a little late on Flus. But the team wasn’t going to suddenly get better once they were gone this season. And it isn’t Poles’ fault that it didn’t magically turn around.

just a little late on Flus.

Yeah just a little.

Flus should have been flushed before the GM decided to trade his QB and draft a new one.

That's more than a litte late.
And it isn’t Poles’ fault that it didn’t magically turn around.

GMs aren't supposed to do magic. They are supposed to build rosters.

Poles has failed.

Commentary like the bold reinforces the idea that we have the wrong guy.

How many games do we have to lose before Poles bears responsibility?

I mean…Two of the worst losing streaks in franchise history…both in the double digits…FFS the leashes we give as fans are impressive sometimes.

If only the old bitch would die
Let’s try to not cross the line of wishing someone death because they won’t do what you want with a sporting franchise. If you hate Virginia so much, you can go be a packers fan. That way, you won’t be giving her any more of your valuable time, money, and attention.

Let's not cross the line of pretending you can control what I type.

She's 102. It's totally fine if she passes on to nothingness. She's had a nice life.
If you hate Virginia so much, you can go be a packers fan.

If you don't like what I type you can go blow yourself.

I think I'll continue being a Bears fan and saying what's on my mind.

That way, you won’t be giving her any more of your valuable time, money, and attention.

I thought you right wing types were all about freedom of speech and stuff? Or is that just until someone says something you don't like?

Yes, defend yourself wishing death upon a 102 year old grandma. That’ll make you look good. Then make sure you also give this woman your money to show everyone around how big of a diehard fan you are of the team ran by a woman you hate (who you willingly give your money to.) You are an oxymoron.

How's it any more of an offense to decency than making a gay or racist joke? I'm curious where people like you draw lines and why.
That’ll make you look good.

And you stand for class on this board? That's really what you want to pretend?
Then make sure you also give this woman your money to show everyone around how big of a diehard fan you are of the team ran by a woman you hate (who you willingly give your money to.)

So by buying tickets to games and paying for merchandise that means I can never say anything bad about the team or it's owner?
You are an oxymoron.

Maybe. But it's better than being a holier than thou type idiot.

Sorry, I won’t make any more jokes about you. Is this the game you play to justify your hate? Well I’m not as bad as that guy, so I’m good. Moral relativism will always just make you slightly better than the biggest POS you can find.
And you stand for class on this board? That's really what you want to pretend?
Never said I did. I merely don’t wish death amongst people. Even those I hate. It’s hard to do sometimes, but it’s the price of being a better human.
So by buying tickets to games and paying for merchandise that means I can never say anything bad about the team or its owner?
You’re giving money to someone you hate so much you want them dead. Wouldn’t a more appropriate response be to not give them your money? Or are you too dumb to understand that you’re part of the problem you feel so strongly about?
Maybe. But it's better than being a holier than thou type idiot.
I never claimed to be holier than you. You’re just throwing a hissy fit because someone called you out for being a Jack ass.

Sorry, I won’t make any more jokes about you.

Make as many as you want. Only one of us is pretending to be sensitive here.
Is this the game you play to justify your hate?

No game. I actually hate her.
Well I’m not as bad as that guy, so I’m good.

Congratulations. Pretending you're better than other people is a good feeling.
Moral relativism will always just make you slightly better than the biggest POS you can find.

I don't strive to be better. I just rest easy knowing I'm less hypocritical.
I merely don’t wish death amongst people.

You realize that saying someone should die actually harms no one, right?
but it’s the price of being a better human.

Your reward is eternal blackness. Which strangely is the same as my punishment for having said things that make you blush.
You’re giving money to someone you hate so much you want them dead.

Yep, do it all the time. Have my entire life. Taxes, shopping, alimony, so on.
Wouldn’t a more appropriate response be to not give them your money?

Okay...I realize you're kinda an idiot so let's make it simple. Or at least try. I expect 100% of this to be lost on you though.

I love the Chicago Bears. When I buy a tshirt or go to a game....I'm not thinking about their owner. I'm thinking about the players. I'm thinking about other fans like my sons and my grandkids. I think about my Dad. I think about the time I played football in Soldier Field myself. I think about seeing Gale Sayers score touchdowns in person as a kid. I think about the time I got to go to New Orleans and watch them win the big one. I think about Devin Hester and Dick Butkus and so many other great players. That's my Bears fandom.

I'm allowed to hate their owner. And I'm allowed to still be a fan of the team. Because....Murica.
Or are you too dumb to understand that you’re part of the problem you feel so strongly about?

No, I'm actually a part of the solution. All fans are. The tired myth that the reason they still suck is because fans still spend money is just absurdedly stupid. On the contrary...the fact that one day they will be good again is because the fanbase cares and someday someone will run the team that knows that.
I never claimed to be holier than you.

You actually did. You claimed moral superiority more than once. That's what that phrase means.
You’re just throwing a hissy fit because someone called you out for being a Jack ass.

Please point out the hissy fit. Because I don't see it.

I stopped reading at pretending to be better than you. Nobody has to pretend. Everybody on this board is better than you. Everybody.

What exactly have you gotten in life?

A lot of experiences. A very happy family. Great kids, amazing grandkids. Love of a few really good women I probably didn't deserve.

In short...a lot of happiness and emotional fulfillment.
I bet you get free McDonald’s when you work, that must be pretty sweet.

I actually retired comfortably a few years back.

Amazing, right? Just because you see words on a screen from someone you never met in life, and you don't like those words, you think you know all about them and your pathetic attempts at making jokes fall comically flat.

Was being a bit facetious on the first part. Yeah, Flus should have never been brought back (Thought it was an odd hire from its inception, but as I understand it, Poles was “managed” on that decision.).

On the second part, I’m with DJ in that the roster isn’t complete trash. Yes, we need a lot of help on both lines, but I haven’t seen any schemes concocted from our coaches to mitigate those weaknesses at all:

1) Short FORWARD passes

2) Use the middle of the field

Caleb just loooooooves him some deep sideline throws, and we just aren’t equipped to succeed that way, IMO.

3) And I don’t know how much of this is poor coaching, or having a rookie QB with his favorite target being a rookie WR or what, but I don’t get why the Bears don’t have a “scramble drill” in place, where WRs see their QB in trouble and just try to find space to make themselves a target…? That’s literally how the Chiefs operate, and probably accounts for half of Kelce’s career receiving yards and TDs. (Anyway, I know we aren’t the Chiefs)

Just my thoughts. I wouldn’t cry if Poles was let go, but I haven’t seen any liked some of his moves and aggressive trades, except the fact he doesn’t appear to value high 2nd round picks…

That’s amazing. I would’ve guessed you were a young 20 something living in your parents basement, based on your behavior. I’m still not so sure I’m wrong, but how can I argue that with a rando on the internet.

We still doing this? And going with the parents basement thing too? Congratulations, you’re the first person to ever make that joke in the history of the internet.

Just give it up man. You tried moral superiority and it failed. You tried faux outrage and it didn’t work. You tried what I think was shame and that actually gave me a giggle. And now you wanna try jokes from the days of dial up and AOL.

I get it. You’re a better person that me. Cash that at the bank and get a pack of gum.

He's even worse in the PF.
