So Hightower and Bennet of the edges?
Sorta sounds like that.
So Hightower and Bennet of the edges?
The Tampa bayBucs released 31 year old DT Gerald McCoy. He supposedly refused to take a pay cut fro m his $11M salary. PFT says that the first thing he did was call BB. Should the Patriots kick the tires? If they do, and can sign him on the cheap, who gets cut?
More interesting are the predictions of who will be cut after the 2nd preseason games if they don't take a pay cut.......
Mohammad Sanu
Emmanual Sanders
Jordan Reed
Vernon Davis
If these guys are available after the second preseason game, would it be worth cutting someone who's been working with he patriots' coaching staff and with TB12?
Just my take.................Sign Mcoy if they can get him for Shelton money and let Shelton go.
Age and injuries have taken some of the flavorout of Sanu and Sanders for me. I like these younger kids and the piss and vinegar that they will have. Absolutely not on Vernon davis. I'd go for Reed but he's never played a full 16 game season and bringing him aboard is chancy.....
Thoughts?????
Kyle Rudolph rumors are officially D-E-A-D...!!! The Vikings have offered Kyle Rudolph a 5 year extension.
Don't know if the offer is legit and he'll be signed then traded or they really want to keep him.
NFL is pretty much shut down until training camps open in July, but there are always rumblings that continually keep team fans totally focused on their teams...
Realistic NFL Trades That Could Still Happen Before 2019 Season
And another one that would put them over the salary cap, at that

Washington Redskins talking trade.....................
All Pro left tackle Trent Williams is holding out and demanded a trade back on June 1st. Seems the Redskins did something that really pissed off Williams with a medical problem that he had. A benign tumor on his scalp. I don't have all of the details but Williams does not want anything to do with the Redskins.
The Patriots have supposedly been talking with the Redskins and things were moving quietly. The Patriots have done nothing with Tom Brady's contract because they have tucked away money just in case Rob Gronkowski decided to come back. The decision was made to forget about Gronk, move forward with the 'Skins and rewrite Brady's contract so they could fit Williams in at left tackle and bring Wynn along a bit more slowly.
It was going to cost the Pats an unknown player and a high (3rd?) draft pick.
Someone leaked that Washington was looking to move Williams and that the Patriots were involved and the Texans immediately called as did the Browns, Broncos and Steelers. Now, the Redskins are saying that Williams is not available and that they are sure that they can convince him to come back.......problem is that they are fining him for not being at training camp at the cost of $208,000 a week.
Might cost the Patriots a bundle to get him, but having an All Pro to protect Brady's blind side is a hell of a lot better than a quetion mark.
