To me, no. He's an all-time elite HOF LT either way. Assuming he was the starting LT for the Pats in this scenario, it would only enhance an already stellar career, because it was basically the only thing he didn't accomplish as a player. And if he was just coat-tailing from the bench, I don't see where that would've detracted from his achievements in Cleveland in any meaningful way.but getting back to the original topic, Would you view Joe Thomas' career differently if he signed a team friendly deal with the Patriots last year, then retired with the ring, as opposed to his current "ringless state"?
