What people aren't grasping is that it doesn't matter if they think they can beat the Heat with Rose. It's a matter of being the leader he's suppose to be for his team. Some of his teammates are not 100% but they're out there busting their ass to win games.
He was givin' a massive contract and he's choosing not to play going on 3mos after being cleared. He can do everything on the court that can be done in a regular game. The only difference is there's no name on the front of the opposing jersey's in simualted practice games.
Fun fact: Rose failed the ACTs three times before he had a friend take the SATs for him. This violation cost Memphis to have all its wins from Rose's season stripped. The ACT is so easy you have to try to fail that test...
Not one of you should judge Rose until you inhabit his body and experience what he is going through. I too think he should be playing but only he knows what is good for his health at this point. I know too many people that have been given a clean bill of health but they felt something was still wrong and later found out they were correct.

Or if they don't want to risk his future, then just come out and say it. Why say he has been cleared and that he has not returned because he's not mentally ready? What kind of wussy stuff is that?!
Rose has a contract with the Bulls. If they want to force the situation they are well within their rights to do so. If they don't force it then everyone else should follow suit and shut it. Practice at full speed and game situations are totally different and not even comparable. He already said he would come back when he is ready. If his teammates have to keep answering questions its because they choose to do so. Its real simple to tell a reporter that Rose has already answered that question and not to ask you again. You can call him a wuss or whatever but you're not in the guys shoes. Why would someone choose to endure this soap opera if it was not necessary?
The point is that it's not necessary. He or the Bulls just needed to announce that he's shutting it down for the season. Then it goes away. Whether or not the teammates, coaches, etc. need to answer those questions, they are being asked anyway.
The media is also making him look worse because they are beginning to "speculate" on "the real reason" that he's not playing. One that's being floated out there is that it's because the Bulls didn't do anything in the off-season or by the trade deadline to improve the team. When you add that to comparisons to injured Bulls players that are playing through their injuries, it makes for distractions that the Bulls don't need.
How do you know what is necessary or not? The media is there to sway the minds of the easily led. More people should use critical thinking and see that its all a soap opera created by the media. The Bulls dont have an issue with it. If they did they would cut Rose for breach of contract and sue him for non performance. The media can float whatever theory they like. they are in the same position we are. None of them are Rose and can tell us what he is going through.
The soap opera that they are going through isn't necessary. If he's not going to play, then say he's not going to play and the media moves on instead of speculating about why he's not playing and when he might play.
He said he will play when he is ready. It might be this year or not. What is wrong with that? Point is he gave them an answer that they arent satisfied with. Why should he say he is shutting it down for the rest of the the year just to satisfy them if its not true?
Its a bad look because people tend to think negatively. I know that I'm thinking he should play but then I asked myself why would someone go through all this if they were really 100%? He is potentially messing with future money in the terms of endorsements/contracts by sitting out because of public perception. It is just a bad look that he's been cleared for several months now and still hasn't played a game.
