The Voice of Reason
Could you edit your post to capture my second version, it's much better.
It's free to go over to the Seattle board and see Seattle fans criticizing Sherman's behavior. It's hard to see how some disagree with this. Sherman's own words and actions are all that is used against him, but the response seems to be about other players who have "sinned" or people being haters and thus that's the only reason they are saying anything. He does it over and over and over again. He is a huge asshole. I'm perplexed why Sea fans don't come out and say "I'm sick of his shit" and call him out without deflecting or trying to play it down. It's a Football message board. Are some actually confused as to why this IS A BIG DEAL??? I've yet to see anyone say he is a bad football player or that he doesn't do good things in the community.

Sherman crossed a line when he went after a coach.
But Snapping at a reporter? I don't care if he or any other player in the entire league does that. I'm really surprised anyone would have an issue with that, and I'm sure anyone that does has never criticized sports journalism for the joke that it has become (or most journalism for that matter).
The writer was simply doing his job, just like the writers were simply trying to make a living when M. Lynch acted like a petulant child when asked basic questions. Sherman didn't "snap" at the reporter, he threatened to take away his livelihood.
Show me where I'm excusing his behavior away. You can go to the Seattle board and still not find it.Why would we do that when it's much more entertaining to watch you and others excuse away his behavior here?

Yeah, it's totally no big deal to threaten to ruin a man's career because he had the AUDACITY to try to do his job. Give me a break.Sherman crossed a line when he went after a coach.

I thought it was a good question -- one that most everyday fan probably wanted to ask. Sherm got hyper-defensive with his response, went overboard. His job was to get a rise out of Sherman.
His job was to get a rise out of Sherman.
What's that got to do with me excusing Sherman's behavior? If I did it, it shouldn't be too hard to find.Jesus Christ you accused me of being biased against Sherman and my critical posts are a result of that bias. You don't need a Stanford degree to understand this means my criticism in this thread was unwarranted.

"Because I don't like them, it's totally ok to treat them poorly!"Journalistic integrity is a thing of the past. Most of them are essentially glorified trolls. I really don't feel bad when someone is a dick to them.
Like I said, go to the Seattle board and what I just said there is right in line with the discussion that's been going on.Now was that so hard? So stop accusing me of only sharing this opinion because I'm out to get him.

You must not have went to Stanford.

Do you think it was a fair question or not?His job was to get a rise out of Sherman.
Oh, you haven't listened to it? I have quite a few times. Moore's delivery was a lot less smart-ass and condescending than Sherman's, I'll tell you that. The question was fine. But context is everything. Bet your ass that Moore sounded like a smart ass when he asked it because he wanted that type of reaction. This is status quo for journalism nowadays.
