My thing with the batters eye is how do they fix it? They’ve tried all sorts of things but the stuff Teo can’t be fixed with trees or a new color. He said the batters eye seems off which it slightly is because the weird way they didn’t built the CF bleachers dead on with the mound.

The only thing I can think is they have to a remodel (which won’t happen) or raise the CF wall behind the mound.

Or maybe get real hitters that don't make up excuses.

Well I’m not saying the M’s have great hitters. I was just referring to it being a big deal that the batters eye will be dealt with.

Well I’ve just never understood changing your stance multiple times. Hitting is already hard, not sure why you would intentionally make it harder. Something simple like reportedly what Robles did is fine, but it’s not the whole stance.

That's my point on both the marine layer and the batters eye/dimensions etc. The other teams that beat the M's at home also face the same conditions and they play half their games on the road where they don't change much from their overall stats.

They suck. It's nothing more than that.

Now, as I've said all year, I believe a huge part of that is the analytics approach bullshit they keep trying on offense. But that's another matter.

There was a great debate on foul territory the other day of the analytical guys vs old school. It’s a good look into the mind of the analytical guys who don’t know baseball just read the stats they are given.

And something that was brought up that I didn’t realize when the analytical guy kept talking about how hard pitchers throw now….did anyone know that they changed how they do the radar gun now.

I am not a big Jim Bowden fan, but he made good point that I read and have said myself many times. The offensive fix isn't as hard as Dipoto makes it out to be. We aren't talking Judge and Ohtani trades needed just get some contact hitters that put the damn ball in play that maybe have speed and defensive quality to them. Cleveland did it. Royals did it. Orioles drafted well and did it. I think one legit bat is needed to protect Julio which may calm him down. Arozarena, if head is on straight, with Julio and that one additional legit bat gets us there while adding the contact type hitters mentioned above. Robles showed us and hopefully Jerry what speed and energy can do for this lineup.

A lot of pending free agents are old. I don't see a lot of contact hitters available. A couple guys that would/could help but don't fit the contact criteria are:
