He was the least enthused player I can remember. I mean there is relaxed then there is Ackley. He wouldn't even swing at times during an AB. Maybe he never had to grind to succeed and when the time came in the majors he just didn't know how. He was just different. I would love to ask Seager about him.

Yeah not really sure. I saw a lot Ackley in Kelenic just in terms of as soon as either starting struggling they’d completely overhaul their stance. I’m not sure Ackley’s whole story but I’m assuming he was just like Kelenic where they never struggled ever and didn’t know how to go through a slump. I hate to say it cause I have no real evidence to back it up but he gave me Rendon vibes where he didn’t love the game he was just good at it.

Just got done with that podcast. I think that is a little misleading on the Gilbert and Randy part. They got into talking on how to upgrade the offense and they brought up trading Castillo to the Orioles for Mayo and Kjerstad. Divish came back with saying it’d have to be Gilbert or Kirby cause with Castillo’s contract they aren’t going to get 2 bats.

And same with Randy, he was just going over scenarios where Jerry could create room if ownership doesn’t let them spend again cause they still have the albatross’s of Garver and Hanigers contracts.

My thing with the batters eye is how do they fix it? They’ve tried all sorts of things but the stuff Teo can’t be fixed with trees or a new color. He said the batters eye seems off which it slightly is because the weird way they didn’t built the CF bleachers dead on with the mound.

The only thing I can think is they have to a remodel (which won’t happen) or raise the CF wall behind the mound.

Yep I told my brother the same to things last week. When Mariners could hit and not pitch, they traded hitters for pitchers. Now it is the opposite. It didn't work then and it won't work now. If they had two studs in the minors ready to pitch next year, then yes. But we don't have that.

As far as Randy goes, I said the other night when he butchered that ball in LF that he is just going through the motions and will ask to be traded in the winter. I still believe it and not because of payroll.

Divish said not to compare Kelenic to Ackley when Kelenic first came up. I always thought he was wrong.
