Guess I didn't give us enough credit. We're an offensive juggernaut.

My new lineup, for a successful offensive team

1. Frazier
2. Mesoraco
3. Frazier
4. Mesoraco
5. Frazier
6. Mesoraco
7. Frazier
8. Mesoraco
9. Pitcher

Could be tough if one of them is scheduled to bat while on base, but I think we can make it work....

You can't use a ghost runner in MLB?

Maybe a 2 hit night for the boys?

Or a 12 men left on base kinda night?

One thing we know for sure -- Homer will stink. I figure he'll give up three runs before the third inning is over. That should pretty much seal the deal.

Homer was shockingly good tonight.

He needs to stick with his heater. Seems like most of the bad things that happen to him (Puig's homer) happen on hanging breaking balls. The way he has dominated Puig with the fastball, I don't know why he ever throws an offspeed pitch to him, at least in the strike zone. He hit 98 in the seventh inning for Chrissakes.

I agree for the most part. I do think he needs to continue to use his splitter, which sets up his fastball better than his off-speed pitches.

They had something earlier this year that he was throwing his splitter some 15% less than last year, and the previous year...both when he was pitching much better. I say, use the off-speed stuff less, implement the splitter a bit more, and rely on those two pitches as your main pitches, and then use the slider/change/curve as a throw-away pitch that you use when you only plan on missing the plate.
