Why would the claim that Stern facilitates the Lakers having a good team have anything to do with Spurs? Like I said, it's not about weakening other teams, its about making sure one of the marquee franchises remains playoff competitive.

A team like San Antonio is just convenient cover for him. "See? They're not a big market, and they've remained competitive for 15 years! I totally don't favor the two largest TV markets!"

When's the last Flyover State NBA title that wasn't the Spurs'? And I'm not talking Chicago, they're still the third largest city and one of the biggest TV markets.
