You need to realize the only way you won the 2 games you did win is because the opposing teams quarterback did what you say Cutler cant do because if Cutler does throw a few pics you are saying you will lose.

When San Frans QB gives you 2 gifts with a short field you better win that game. When you get all the gifts the Jets gave you then you better win that game.

I did not see the Bears win their games from what they did. I saw them winning because they were fortunate enough to take advantage of the gifts given them. It is hard to expect that those gifts will be given in every game throughout the season.

If for some reason the Packers dont give any gifts by not fumbling the opening hand off and having it returned for a touchdown and if there are no picks thrown I feel confident

Hmm...sounds like that has applicability in Packerland, too.. Does nullified TD by virtue of a called timeout sound familiar?

Ha Ha that just prevented the Packers from having to score on the drive that would have occurred after that touchdown if it had counted or from them winning in Overtime.

It took the Jets until the second half to melt down to do nothing where the Packers were marching up and down the field doing what they wanted. When the Jets played the Bears they were in meltdown mode from like the first or second play in the game but at least they still put up over 400yards of offense on the Bears improved defense.

C'mon Lambeau, you know better than that. The Bears played the Jets at home, on Monday Night... Of course the Jets were going to play tough. The Packers struggled against the Jets at home on a Sunday afternoon. Believe it or not, there is a big difference. Teams typically play better ball at home, plus this was the Bears second prime time game in a row, both played on the road. So you really wanted to go there? What about the Packers this season? How are they doing in road games?

With you so far.

on the drive that would have occurred after that touchdown

Um...all right, I think I follow.

if it had counted

LL, you're really not- Oops, you're not done yet. Sorry.

or from them winning in Overtime.

Like I was saying, you're really not confident in anything you're saying if you've got to qualify it this much.

How do you guys feel about the addition of Allen compared to the loss of Peppers?
Allen has been in a tough spot. All the teams we've played run the read option at least to some extent. Thus, Allen's job changes from rushing the passer to containing him and making sure he doesn't get outside. So he hasn't had the numbers you normally expect.

This game will be a much better barometer as the Pack doesn't run read option. That leaves Allen to do what he does best.

I hate Allen. He always seems to play well against the Packers. Hopefully he is a non-issue in this game but that usually is not the case.

I sure hope he plays better. He was disruptive second half of the last game, didnt seem like he was too worried about contain.

Didnt seem like the bears used a spy on any read option QB's. That allows them to pin their ears back and get after the QB. If Allen gets to the QB this week I still wont be convinced he is back on the upswing, Green Bays line is beat up. I think Allen has been on the downhill the past few years.

Allen was not a good use of resources. Not that he can't help us. And he is a liability in the run game. He is still very disruptive in getting after a QB. He does a lot of little things that smart vets do. Intangibles are there.

I'm going to change my prediction for this game. I picked the Bears 31 to 21 but something tells me Rodgers will be "on" this game. Packers 27 Bears 21

Yes. We let Peppers go because of money. Cap killing money. He can still play.

I see the home team winning this game. And were at home. So Bears. Also I think the line play will be much better for us, then them. On both sides of the ball. But as always anything can happen.

Yep, anything can happen but I have to go with the QB that has been more consistent over his career = Rodgers, + the Pack has never gone 1 and 3 with Rodgers at the helm

...and AR has never played so shitty, nor has he had so little talent around him. The Pack will be 1-3 after Sunday's game.

I never understand why people feel these type of statistics hold any merit. Yeah… they've never gone 1-3, but they're damn close right now.

Oh, totally. I feel you man. Just like the Fuller INT's only prevented the Bears from having to go a little further on their TD drives that occurred.

lol… I mean, gosh. How dare the Bears? Put pressure on a QB? Force rushed throws? Jump routes and intercept passes? My goodness gracious, how dare they do these things? We all know that in football, you're not supposed to seize opportunities. That's simply not fair.

I mean, it's clearly not fair to the 49ers that the Bears made plays on defense. They shouldn't do that next time.

What a fucking dope… :L

Go check the stats last year Allen went up against rook Baktari twice and had 0 sacks in 2 games. Now we look at the situation a year later and what do we have?

Allen is a year older and has not had a good start to the year and has been so damn sick all week they didnt even let him come to practice except for a brief moment on Friday so he wouldnt get anyone else sick. I think there is pretty good odds that if Allen has no practice before the game and is still not fully healed that he will not be 100%.

On the other hand there is Baktari who is much younger has another year of experience and beefed up and put on like 15 to 20 pounds of muscle in the off season.

When I look at this situation I may be wrong but it appears Baktari should have a bit more of an advantage over Allen compared to last year and last year Allen had 0 sacks against him
