Football all starts with the lines. Bears are better there right now. Turnovers will decide games, but strait up we are better on both lines right now.

Is that what you are doing? How long did it take you to fabricate this stuff? Look I went around to three different Packer boards and did not see any of these posts. I always check out our opponents board each week. We never get respect from anyone. It's not just Packer fans. I guess you never go to your opponents boards. I can tell because your not here now. Enjoy the game bro.

Are you implying I fabricated the quotes that I posted? There is proof. You can simply go to the Packers board and find them yourself. Unless you just wanted to stir the hornets nest so you chose not to "see" the posts that were right in front of your face. How do you explain your post where you said you searched 3 different Packers board and you said not ONE gave any respect whatsoever to the Bears and then I posted actual proof. And why are you so hurt that no one gives you respect? If you don't get respect, who cares. Shove the ball down the other teams throat and make them give you respect. But to whine about it on a forum seems unusual. And as I said before I just gave you 3 quotes from 3 Packers fans that are giving the Bears respect.

So here is my question: do you admit now that your original post is wrong?

I pretty much agree with you. As you suggest, this is a pretty pivotal game. For us, we're either... On a roll and proving we're a good team at 3-1... Or we're .500, can't win at home and bafflingly inconsistent.

Normally, the Packers game in Soldier is a cross your fingers kinda game. But I'm gonna say that that's not the case right now. The Packers are 1-2 and not playing that well. They are banged up with injuries to their OL and Raji and Matthews are hurt. Their D is just surviving and giving up 156 YPG on the ground. Their offense is averaging under 20 PPG. Their running game with Lacy was supposed to offset the losses of some good receiving targets like Jennings and Jones. But they're only averaging 78 yards on the ground and 232 in the air. They are coming off a bad loss to the Lions and we have momentum after 2 8 point road wins.

This is a game where we will be favored and we should be. This isn't a fingers crossed game. This is a game we SHOULD win. Our anemic running game will get well against their Raji-less defense. And when we can mix it up with Forte, that will open up the pass game a little bit more. Plus, theirs is the weakest OL we will have faced. So our front four will have their way. Games are won and lost up front and that's where we have the advantage.

The only way we lose this game is if Cutler gets out of control and we lose the turnover battle, which could happen. Still, no interceptions in 2 games is a good sign.

I predict... Bears 31 Packers 21 and the Pack gets to taste last place.

You need to realize the only way you won the 2 games you did win is because the opposing teams quarterback did what you say Cutler cant do because if Cutler does throw a few pics you are saying you will lose.

When San Frans QB gives you 2 gifts with a short field you better win that game. When you get all the gifts the Jets gave you then you better win that game.

I did not see the Bears win their games from what they did. I saw them winning because they were fortunate enough to take advantage of the gifts given them. It is hard to expect that those gifts will be given in every game throughout the season.

If for some reason the Packers dont give any gifts by not fumbling the opening hand off and having it returned for a touchdown and if there are no picks thrown I feel confident

The more I think about the game, the more I am convinced the Bears will win by 10 point or more. Why? This is the first soft defense the Bears will face this season, and I believe the Bears will put up some points. On the defensive side, I see improvements with this unit every week. They are balling, playing hard, and learning. Five rookies starting and little drop off; in fact, I think they are playing better as a whole. I expect the defense to improve throughout the season and the offense to become dangerous when Jeffrey and Marshall get healthy and Garza and Slausen come back.

The arrow is pointing up for the Bears, and Sunday I believe they will make a statement.

Bears 34
Packers 24

In looking at what has actually happened through the first 3 games this is what I see

Similar situation for the Packers with this being the first soft defense for the Packers. As bad as I see the Packers defense talked about on this board it is actually better than the Bear defense but maybe that is being over looked.

The previous teams the Packers played ranked by total defense they played the #1 ranked Lions defense, the #2 ranked Jets defense and the number 8 ranked Seattle defense. It will be easier to run against the 26th ranked Bears defense than it has the other 3 defenses the Packers have played against. When looking at the Packer rush offense when looking at just rush defense they played against 3 of the top 5 rush defenses this year with the #1ranked Lions , #2 ranked Jets and #5 ranked Seahawks. I am guessing they are looking forward to the 26th ranked Bear rush defense.

That might be a reason the Packers run offense has had a slow start. It appears the Lions defense is improved.

When looking at pass defense the Packers have done quite well ranking 6th in the league with the Bears coming in at 16th. How I read this is that the Packers strong part of the defense matches up well with the strong part of the Bears offense that now has some O line starters most likely missing and receivers that are not practicing and hobbling around not at 100%.

The Packers 26th ranked rush defense has been improving each week and when going against the Bears worst rushing offense ranked 32 that averages 64 yards a game which is worse than the Packers rush offense I am thinking the Packer Rush defense should move up in the rankings after this week.

Now when looking at the Packer passing offense are we going to assume they will play as bad as last week against the Lions or was that a one game blip and will the offense put up 350 passing yards and 4TDs like they did against the Jets? My guess is the Packers offense will be somewhere in between that throughout the season.

I just see though that with all of the Bears defensive injuries in the secondary and the ability that the Packers rush offense will have going against a weak Bear's rush defense that it will open things up for Rodgers and he will have game more similar to the Jets game than the Lions game.

The Packers absolutely have to bring their A game on defense. They have to shut down, Cutler, Forte, Bennett, Marshall AND Jeffrey. The 9ers couldn't do it and in all likelihood the Packers won't either. If Green Bay cannot slow down the Bears offense, Rodgers and Co. will have to score often and so far they have not proven that they can.

Bears 31 Packers 21

You mean the great Bears offense that is ranked 27th in the league one spot ahead of the Packers? How will they stop that offense?

The Bears have not won because of this great offense I keep hearing about.

It's gonna be a crapshoot. Both teams weaknesses run headfirst into the other teams weaknesses dead on.

Outside of our starting corners our secondary is banged up and extremely thin. Their backup wr's suck just as bad. Our LB's are questionable in quality, go figure the TE's of GB are as well.

They're not running the ball well? We got a feel good solution for that it seems.(I will say they have played better the past 2 weeks, but thats just improving from getting obiterated to getting beaten up.)

They can't block? We're having issues with getting to the QB on time.

I just got a feeling this is gonna be a shootout. What D? type of game.

No I stand by what I said. I did not see anyone giving the Bears any respect on the boards I read. That is true and no reason for me to make anything up.

That's the best part. We have won because of overall team work and being smart with the ball. We both know rankings are jokes told in math and GB and Chicago are top 5 offenses. The fact we are winning without our offense is great. Just wait till they show up. look out.

The Bears offense might be ranked low, but their key weapons have been hurt and playing at less than 75-80% (Marhsall and Jeffery). I'd like to see how the Packers offense would do with Nelson and Cobb being hobbled and not as effective as they normally are.

Despite that the Bears have won games because of a team effort. Those "gifts" you refer to were caused by the Bears defense and were earned.

That being said, I don't think the Bears win by big margin at all....in fact it wouldn't surprise me if they lose because the Packers are going to be coming in desperate for a win.

Gifts given to them? How about great plays by the defense? Or should I remind you that the Packers could be 0-3 if not for, as you put it, gifts?

Give me a fucking break.

Okay, fair enough Lambeau. But remember that the Bears have had injuries and others have stepped in... Depth has made the difference for this team from starting out 1-2 or 0-3.

To add to my previous post... I actually thought about the similarities with the Packets first three games and the Bears first three games. However, my point is that the Bears stepped up and won 2 on the road, in prime time. Five rookies on defense, five, came on and proved themselves. The difference between the Bears and GB is that the Bears have upside on D, and I suspect, they will vastly improve as the season progresses.

As for the offense, when two of the biggest playmakers are injured it is hard to get going. When Marshall and Jeffrey recover... Look out.

I can't have a conversation with someone who does not admit when they are lying or making things up. You get no respect from me or any other fans whatsoever. When you come up with a blatant lie and I give you factual evidence to disprove what you are saying but you are too ignorant and stubborn to admit it even though the evidence is right in front of your face so you continue with your ignorance by saying you still see no proof, EVEN THOUGH I POSTED IT RIGHT IN THIS FORUM, I can't even talk to you anymore. I can't stand homer fans like you. There is no reasoning with you because you are delusional. For all the other Bears fans that have posted in this thread, good game on Sunday, may the best team win (hopefully the Packers) but to you "noonthirtyjoe" you are just a douchebag. They say it takes a man to admit when he is wrong, if that's the case then you are no man at all.

I'll now ignore all posts from you from here on out.

Absolutely right. The Packers could and possibly very well SHOULD be 0-3 this season. Some fans say that the Packers played a great game to come from behind against the Jets. But to me it never should have gotten anywhere close to that. That was our home opener, and we went down 21-3 before kicking it in gear. This team lacks any form of consistency and it has been that way for years. Very frustrating to watch as a fan. I think the game this weekend will be a close one, possibly 30-21 and I think the team that turns it over the most will lose. Very well could be the Packers or...very well could be the Bears.

Well, fantastic. Considering we would have had to have paid Peppers for 18 million. lol

Talent-wise. Too early to tell. Allen had a weak first game after getting zero reps in the pre-season, but came on in these last two and has been very good. I've heard Peppers has been good for you guys. Good for him.

He struggled last year early, but then it came out that he had a flu he couldn't shake. He was much better later on. I had a feeling he might comeback strong… but still definitely not worth near 18 mil at this point.

I watched that game against the Jets and the Packers team showed a lot of heart battling back. Turnovers definitely was the key, and you're right... It will be a factor in this game as well.
