It is safer to have Huff play 1B then DH but if injury happens just lose the DH and pinch hit for the pitcher if needed. No big deal

unless you replace one of the catchers prematurely you can have a replacement catcher DH or 1B

Not sure why you don’t realize that a manager can move one of the 2 to catcher if injured
You lose the DH if he DHIng but no big deal you just pinch hit the pitcher next time up if needed

Heim is left with no back up without acquiring another catchaer and that is what Woody wants to avoid as he spoke earlier. Not saying I agree with him. Yes you could PH for pitcher but you still have only one active catcher.
