Okay sorry I understandThey aren't going to be used there. I never said they were. At least not any time soon.

He isn't the backup now. Miller is.Garner will never be anything but backup with Lowe getting 95+%of the playing time. That’s around 153 games. I don’t think the Rangers are spending too much time worrying about 1B. The bullpen holds down the top 10 spots on their list of worries
I get @saddles sarcasm. I did not take that too seriouslyExactly. My comment was not meant as an endorsement of those two playing 1B. It was meant as an indictment on Garver being the primary backup at 1B.
Even something unfavorable can be better in comparison to something even more unfavorable.
Which is why they might keep Miller or just maybe Garver does some rehab at 1B before being addedHe isn't the backup now. Miller is.
True but perhaps he can get back to his dominant form. This is where I am hoping some analysis from staff can be an aidI have been concerned with White not being dominant this year. Scott Lucas said this about him today:
Owen White just doesn't quite seem himself. His velocity is down a tic or two since I saw him last month in San Antonio, and that was down a tic or two from last year. He's still effective, just more polite about it. White's strikeout rate (20%) and swinging strike rate (10.5%) are both well into the lower half among Texas Leaguers with at least 20 innings.

So I wonder why it is down. Either strength/muscular or formThe velocity concerns me.
And Miller has a whole 9 hits in 44 games and should be DFA’ed so that we don’t have to send down Smith, Duran or even Thompson when Garver is activated. And the Rangers won’t DFA GarverHe isn't the backup now. Miller is.

They need to get him examinedI have been concerned with White not being dominant this year. Scott Lucas said this about him today:

I think Leon goes down when Garver is activated. And Miller has a whole 9 hits in 44 games and should be DFA’ed so that we don’t have to send down Smith, Duran or even Thompson when Garver is activated. And the Rangers won’t DFA Garver
