I liked his last 12 starts last year. He seemed to pitch just fine as a starter then.

His walks went down, strikes went up but so did HRs, he did alright considering he doesn't have a full arsenal...

He needs that one effective pitch you only use 4-8 times a game to keep certain hitters off balance and for the third time through the order...

Yeah obviously you need to earn your spot and rather have AH in pen. He has done ok but Dunning has been stellar

Have we had a pitcher go down when ahead in the third inning besides the deGrom injury? Maybe one other time?

How often would something like that have to happen to warrant sending a guy who has been really great at starting to the pen?

Isn't that supposed to be Cole Ragans job?

The pen needs late innings guys most of all. Keeping Dunning in the rotation and putting Heaney in late inning situations out of the pen seems like the best way to go.

I suggested earlier that Dane would be fine in rotation if Heany was in the pen but he is not.

Yes it is a fine line at times. Sometimes these things work out. But yeah we have gotten built as Ranger fans with vet treatment.

The team though ha let Moller sit and have found a way for Duran to be in the lineup minus him DH vs LF
