Rebuild done....It all starts with pitching
No argument here. Let them pitch without a leadKing and Hearn have not been anything special.

At some point it can bite. It FO is not trustworthy with promises then it sends a bad message to team and other free agentsLet him revolt. Heany’s era is 4.7. Dubbing’s is 1.6. There’s no doubt who should go to the pen.
I liked his last 12 starts last year. He seemed to pitch just fine as a starter then.
How about sending the message, if you don’t perform you’re not going to be starting. No free ride just because you’re a veteran. At some point it can bite. It FO is not trustworthy with promises then it sends a bad message to team and other free agents
This is what I saw, about 3/4 of the way down...According to Emily Perez said he saw something on the tapes and he fixed it himself
Yeah obviously you need to earn your spot and rather have AH in pen. He has done ok but Dunning has been stellarHow about sending the message, if you don’t perform you’re not going to be starting. No free ride just because you’re a veteran.
Have we had a pitcher go down when ahead in the third inning besides the deGrom injury? Maybe one other time?So you are leading at end of 3 and pitcher goes down. That is not garbage time and I want a good reliever in to protect the lead. That is Dunning at the present time.
Saw this after my reply. LolThat doesn't happen often enough to warrant it.
Do you really believe we need six SP and can Ragans protect a long lead or even keep us in a close game? I am not against Dane starting. You more than anyone has complained about the pen not being upgraded so why would you remove the best reliever we have with a good five man rotation.Have we had a pitcher go down when ahead in the third inning besides the deGrom injury? How often would something like that have to happen to warrant sending a guy who has been really great at starting to the pen?
Isn't that supposed to be Cole Ragans job?
It also sends a message to the young guys coming up, that if you perform well you can be in our rotation. At some point it can bite. It FO is not trustworthy with promises then it sends a bad message to team and other free agents
The pen needs late innings guys most of all. Keeping Dunning in the rotation and putting Heaney in late inning situations out of the pen seems like the best way to go.Do you really believe we need six SP and can Ragans protect a long lead or even keep us in a close game? I suggested earlier that Dane would be fine in rotation if Heany was in the pen but he is not.The pen needs late innings guys most of all. Keeping Dunning in the rotation and putting Heaney in late inning situations out of the pen seems like the best way to go.
Not 6 SP.
Yes it is a fine line at times. Sometimes these things work out. But yeah we have gotten built as Ranger fans with vet treatment. It also sends a message to the young guys coming up, that if you perform well you can be in our rotation.
Guy looks for real. He is hitting like he belongs at near the top of the lineupDuran is 5 for 6 with a walk, so far in this series.
Where does Dunning fit in with his 1.69 ERA?If Gray is allowed to pitch into the sixth, and can get two more outs, he'll have a sub-3.00 ERA.
He'd join deGrom and Eovaldi as the third SP with an ERA under 3.00.
Maybe this team's third "ace" is actually Gray?
