i’m glad King got hit around a little bit because it pretty much just trashed Hernandez’s era. The way Hernandez has been pitching, he deserves a shitty era.

Do you really believe we need six SP and can Ragans protect a long lead or even keep us in a close game? I am not against Dane starting. You more than anyone has complained about the pen not being upgraded so why would you remove the best reliever we have with a good five man rotation.

the problem is that Dunning is also our best reliever and we haven't got anyone to pick up the slack. it's Dunning and Smith, everyone else is ineffective.

Leon is a waste of a roster spot. Automatic out every time he comes to bat.

I know his offense is lousy. But he saved a run in the 1st inning with a nice block and bases loaded. He had a 10 pitch at bat to lead off the 2nd inning. And he is not someone we are trying to develop for the future so we are okay with him sitting on the bench and coming in for Heim once every 5 days.

Leon and Miller serve a purpose. They fill roster spots, but we don’t need them to play often. It’s better to have a cheap vet in spots like these then a young guy who needs to develop and play everyday.

Exactly and we do not need six starters. Heany is who may go to the pen when deGrom is active but who knows. Just guessing.

Our starter problem isn’t a problem the bullpen is and hopefully CY is working behind the curtains trying to get us a couple of good relievers. Once that’s done everything else will fall into place. I hope

We need to wait until July or we will pay thru the nose. I‘m guessing about 50 days from now.

we need to win games with our lineup and starting pitching as much as possible until then.

I wouldn't mind finding replacements at the deadline if possible. We traded for bench players back in our 2010 and 2011 WS seasons with the intention of strengthening our bench, and hopefully we can do that again.

Unless we trade for a guy who still has a few years of control left. If we do that the price shouldn't be very much higher now than 8 weeks from now.

Alexis Diaz has 4 years and about 4 and a half months before he becomes a free agent. His trade value shouldn't be that much different with 4 years and a little over 2 months left if we wait until July to trade for him.

He is a rare exception though.

Saw bottom of 10th on MiLB TV. Acuna stole 2nd and Carter singled him home with the game winner. I do not want to see these players traded.
