This is good news. He might have already made his debut by now had he been healthy.

I am not allowing myself to expect anything special from Cody tonight, but of all the pitchers who have come up to make their starting debut over the years for the Rangers, his last 9 starts have been as good or better than any of the rest. With that in mind, it shouldn't be shocking if he had close to the best debut by most any Rangers prospect over the years. I won't expect that, but it wouldn't be shocking if it happens.

Yeah, I put what I hoped for earlier. I am hopeful. I am just not going to expect him to purt up close to the best that a Ranger rookie ever has in his debut.
