i'm most definitely NOT that kind of guy.I had this nightmare last night that I was waiting to get into a White Sox came and @idseer was right behind me rapid punching my kidneys because the line wasn't moving as fast as he thought it should.
Okay - everyone is rested up - let's keep the line moving to the end of the season. This White Sox team is much better offensively playing at home (you can look it up) - so they need to be the #1 seed.

i'm guessing that contract has some kind of morals clause and the team will not be responsible for a large portion of it.And for those following the Trevor Bauer saga, his leave of absence has just been extended to July 27th. I know 20/20 hindsight is always smart, but seriously, is anyone here still regretting that we didn't sign him to that monstrous, hideous contract?
Hmmm, you know you may be onto something. But still, all the BS associating with this fiasco, I'm sure the Dodgers would have preferred to keep his payroll intact with no disruption of service.i'm guessing that contract has some kind of morals clause and the team will not be responsible for a large portion of it.
And LA County just mandated masks indoors again, altho I'm not sure exactly when it goes into effect. Just my luck, we're going to be out there for a couple of days next week. Not sure how negative, if at all, this will impact businesses such as restaurants, who were just starting to get over the hump again. The sad and stupid thing is everyone who has been tested positive has NOT had the vaccine shot. From my understanding, not a single vaccinated person has been found positive during this latest spike. If the non or anti vaxxers need any further proof that it pays to get the shots, I don't know what else will convince them.six yankees out with covid. it's not gone folks!

Now on a more positive note, for anyone who has DirecTV, they are offering a week's free preview of MLB Innings. Not sure if other carriers are getting the same offer, I can only speak for DirecTV.
Not any real big fan in particular of DirecTV, at least not to the point of hawking them. But as you just mentioned, they do carry the NFL ticket and for whatever reason, they've been giving me the package for free the past 4 years. Never argue with free.I dumped they asses for AT&T TV....No ragrets...Well...Until football season.
The guys going out there every day - they deserve all the fans and cheers we can pack into Guaranteed Rate field. I hope you can get to a game. You want to be one of those guys who can say - they saw the Sox play in 21.Attendance for the two Astros games have both been over 34k. Of course we're talking prime weekend + the 1st place Astros, a possible postseason opponent, so that helps draw in the crowds. But it's good to see fans back in the stands and in such lofty numbers. Let's see what a Sunday afternoon game draws. And let's see how the Sox draw with the 4 game series against the Twins starting with a super rare Monday day game.
Speaking of attendance, I'm hoping to add at least a two count to the season total. Not sure if I've previously mentioned this, but I'll be visiting my original hometown this Sept due to my 50th (gulp!!) high school reunion. Based on my schedule as to where I'll be when I'm out there, it's looking like my best shot at catching a home game will be either Saturday night or Sunday afternoon against the Red Sox, in which those dates are the 11th & 12th, respectively. If both Sox clubs continue to do well, especially ours, then I suspect tickets will be hard to get. The Mrs and I will probably end up in the nose bleed seats. But that wouldn't bother me one bit.
